Since 2000 The World Cup been held in Asia, Europe, Africa, America (South), Europe, Asia. Next one in America (North)
2030 seems to be a multi-nation bid.
Uruguay / Argentina / Chile / Paraguay
Morocco (pending on Algeria Algeria and Tunisia Tunisia):
Portugal / Spain:
Greece / Bulgaria / Serbia / Romania
With a potential bid from UK and Ireland
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.July 16, 2021 at 00:24 #1550879The 1996 Englnd side was the best England side of my lifetime. They most certainly didn’t get knocked out early.
Then check out the England vs West Germany game (1966) on All 4 and watch a real match.

Congrats for finally getting it.
July 16, 2021 at 00:26 #1550881I wasn’t born in 1966 hence why that wasn’t the best English team of my lifetime.
July 16, 2021 at 06:51 #1550888Surely you are on about the European Champs as your initial post was about UEFA not giving us tournaments. World Cup is FIFA
July 16, 2021 at 07:03 #1550889England may have expectEd to have a decent chance of getting a World Cup in 2030 as it will have been 64 years since they held one.
Homer the original post may have been about European cups and mentioned UEFA but having the ability to read is An important Skill on a forum debate as topics often develop and move away slightly from the original point.
An issue with English hooliganism would effect both future UEFA and FIFA tournaments, even Stevie Wonder would be able to see this point.
July 16, 2021 at 07:45 #1550891The World Cup was in Italy in 1990 and France in 1998.
Russia is a UEFA member and the vast majority of the matches were in the European part of the country so FIFA would certainly count it as Europe.
That said I do think 2030 should go to one (or more) of the European powerhouses with 2034 going to South America. Europe and South America provide all of the winners but have been largely ignored since 1998 with only Germany and Brazil hosting amongst the biggest football nations.
I’m all for spreading it about a bit (not as far as Qatar which is a complete joke) but the traditional big names shouldn’t be forgotten.
