    Jackie Stephen’s stable star and 5x winner Welcome Ben suffered a fatal fall at Kelso last night.

    Really sad for jump racing up north – always hate to see it happen to a small stable especially.

    Disappointing news. I always keep an eye out for our most northerly trainer(her yard is almost 100 miles from the nearest racecourse). Seems to have had a quiet time of it recently so this is the last thing she needs.
