Fell and was fatally injured in the 2.20 at Southwell today. Never won, but placed several times in his career. RIP, old friend.
Oh no! I saw that fall and he got up and ran on. Though he was obviously lame it didn’t look that serious. Poor fellah.

My favourite racehorse. I saw him run many times & he was quite a character.He was entered at Bangor on Tuesday night but he wasn’t declared so I didn’t go. Ironically of his 51 races 37 were under NH rules & he had never fallen. A real shame.
I recorded the replay and watched it again, nighthorse. You can see he came down on that shoulder and when he got up he wasn’t putting any weight on that side at all, just holding it off the ground.
Not a "NH star", but I’m sure many people will know him because of his catchy name. He’s off over the rainbow bridge to a better place. Enjoy Wee Ziggy, you’ve earned your rest.
