Top Goodwood Jockey – RICHARD HUGHES 6/4 Ladbrokes £20.00

What a great week, saw Toronado win his 1st group 1, hit the blue for the first time this year and even managed to win TRF Goodwood Competition.

August 12, 2013 at 16:10 #448218I went to Leicester races yesterday as they had a family fun day with the main attraction of the races for myself along with the dodgems for myself and son, and that bloody Peter Andre was there for my wife to drool over too. I only found the one winner in Elhaame but ended in profit from the 3 races in which I bet in as he was my main bet of 20 points.

August 13, 2013 at 11:40 #448267Tell me about it. The Wife set up camp and got her spot right near the front of the stage after the first race(strange woman) anyway she phoned me and ask if I could save her position while she goes for a wee. So I’m sitting there quietly enjoy the view of all the young ladies around me when suddenly they broke into fits of screaming almost had me go deaf, I thought it was a wasp at first or that Richard Hughes had turned up for a spare ride but no it only turns out some boy called Junior had walked past on his way to the sweet store, unreal…..

August 18, 2013 at 10:17 #448696I take it that Toronado’s participation in the York International is ground dependant. Anyone know what the forecast is?
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 19, 2013 at 13:25 #448817The forecast is for dry weather and the consensus is Toronado will take his chance in Wednesday’s showpiece. Hillstar and Trading Leather are running short of their preferred distance and with Hillstar’s preference to attack late it could well be that the Bolger horse makes the running. I have no doubt Toronado will get the trip aslong as he settles well and if he can travel like he can has the speed to take on Al Kazeem.
York International – TORONADO 2/1 £10.00 win betvictor

August 24, 2013 at 12:43 #449402Shirocco Star is pretty versatile with regards trip and ground, if the rain hit’s Windsor great if not She will either be pulled out or run anyway as she has form on quick ground depending on Morrison’s views. Hughes is street wise around Windsor and although she cannot buy a win she is a very class horse and at this level evens is a nice price as She ran a very good race last time against better opposition.
7.15 Windsor – SHIROCCO STAR Evens £10.00 win (bog) Paddy Power

August 25, 2013 at 00:51 #449456It turns out the only reason Shirocco Star won her one and only win was because Daryl Holland pointed a gun to her head……

September 6, 2013 at 18:16 #450355I’ve been told through demon voices in my head that the Irish heavens are going to open up and let rip. So the Charlton horse will win as he is good on good to firm and Roger says he is unbeatable and better than the likes of Frankel, Zarkava, Sea The Stars and Premio Loco when there is cut in ground and Roger don’t tell fibs or even white lies. I’ve taken 11/4 with Ladbrokes when detouring on my Avon rounds but is now 5/2 best price so will record that for thread purposes.
Irish Champion Stakes – AL KAZEEM 5/2 £10.00 win Ladbrokes
*For suing purposes of myself or TRF, Roger has not said anything and for future reference anything posted on this thread is my opinion and words only*

September 15, 2013 at 21:22 #451401Impressed with Toormore today, the plan was to avoid this race originally but the field quality meant this was a good opportunity to land a group 1.

September 16, 2013 at 10:40 #451454I’ve done my maths wrong somewhere along the way I think. I make myself for the season at
editso far
total staked £235
total return £246
total p/l
At that time of year with the weather changes and I slow right down on this and focus more on the football. Will be back for Champions Day and Breeders cup and maybe 1 or 2 other races. Will leave the Arc alone although fancy the Japan horse Orfevre or whatever his bloody name is to right his wrong of last year a very classy horse that one, think Gord’s laying record will break a sweat…..

October 6, 2013 at 09:43 #453826I respect Joni’s selection Viztoria but Moonlight Cloud is a monster at this track and distance and even has form on the ground, would Viztoria or Gordon Lord Byron have won the Marios with the likes of Olympic Glory, Intello, Declaration of War and Elusive Kate? Dawn Approach had excuses but you get the point.
Foret – MOONLIGHT CLOUD 5/6 £11.00 win Stan James

Very confident ride by the jockey, he gave the leader more rope then that guy with the yellow mask on Mortal Kombat on the Mega Drive but reeled um in quicker than the blink of Jim McGrath’s eye in a sex shop….

October 15, 2013 at 11:37 #454968Head scratching time.
Scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch, pick nose, scratch, scratch, scratch.

Toronado’s participation in the QE11 looks ground dependent, if I wait, wait, wait I could lose the massive each/way steal of the season 7/1 breeders cup mile that is on offer at racebets. ponder, wait, scratch. Bloody sun is shining outside my window. ponder, ponder, fart, scratch.

The trainers title is still on the line which could be a factor but for ages the BC has been on the agenda. scratch, scratch, wait, ponder, scratch
Decision – I’m going in and cheering for rain
Breeders Cup Mile – TORONADO 7/1 racebets £5.00 each/way 1/5 odds 1,2,3
I’m saving the £10.17 incase he does run at Ascot, hey he could do both…….
