    Mahlers Dollar
Has done everything right so far and connected in some good races to some decent horses now running at high levels. No suprise to see to this one confirm promise here.
One that could really kick on though today is
    Free Nelson.
Drifted markedly before racing when stewards tackled this one on schooling in a maiden hurdle . First time headgear and Davy Russell a double edge as Gordon Elliott attempts to kickstart this wayward horse.

    Kitty’s Light
Was heading for third place when Shan Blue tipped up the other week.
But that was off a rating of 149 and just 15 months ago River Frost was beating her off 125 here. RF gets clear top weight here and down in grade from that win is also down ten pounds, and faces in form rivals a return to old form will see this runner in a good light.

Chilli Filli winner of two listed races one here. Beat Casablanca mix here when that one was rated 150. Reopposes.
Win my wings lowest rated here but reappears after being badly hampered despite winning by ten lengths at Cheltenham in April

CASABLANCA MIX is the one that showed the way and was so unlucky to fall at the second last.
Looked in total control and had not faced a rival to that point.
Raced up to previous high rating and is worth backing on return.
Chilli Filli followed up to win.

Couldn’t call Sunnyvilla a massive gamble but Philip Enright barely came off the bridle and was confidently ridden out the back all the race. he was beaten 16 lengths by Tommy’s Oscar over the points last year that one now rated 139 over hurdles with a string of wins and places and that was enough for an each way selection which I anticipated 10/1 from 25s but was 3/1 by the time I’d posted. Presenting point a good second @ 22/1 to the reserve horse 🐴.

    Chelmsford 4.30
    Under Oath
    Small Each way
Absolutely no chance on the book.
But hint of ability when third in front of subsequent three time winner hurry up Hedley.
Shaped as though only step up in trip would suit and gets that here.
Ridden by Oisin Murphy before first run for Cieran Fallon when tailed off 112 lengths in arrears. No stewards questions and either lacks ability or hiding light under a bushel.
Much better performance but only managed fourth in a field of seven

Winner of Dundalk barrier trial has been snapped up by David Evans and stable although quiet has had a second and fourth tonight.
No suprise to see this one run well on racecourse debut at good price as the value of barrier trials not known in England.

Well done with your winners today Sam.. :good:

I haven’t put these two up on my Thread as not 100% confident but have a feeling Tropics 50/1 EW (4 places) might run a good race tonight.
He is a CD winner many times and at a higher class and if the Tropics of old turns up in 10 Minutes I would be sorry I didn’t back him.

The other horse who needs to improve and show that he still retains tbe talent that won him his maiden is Great News 10/1 EW I”m certain he is much better than he has been showing and hope he steps up tonight.

    That’s it..fingers crossed here e go.

In truth the selections were shocking today Triptych.
Durdle door and restless Endeavor would be my picks but I’ve put the white flag up and only my current form overall today puts me off the 13 year old tropics for each way otherwise I’d select that one. Good luck!!!

I was right to have doubts as Great News ran a mediocre race but Tropics had a real crack at it and looked like he was enjoying himself..sadly he faded but no disgrace for the old boy wonder how much longer he’ll go on..he still has the enthusiasm. :rose: Jac
