Could be too good here even with only two runs over hurdles.
Fifth in the old roan chase this is a big drop in class and may come on From fall last time.

Lingfield
Alexander selection
PRAISE OF SHADOWS
Each way
Finished second and close behind two runners who fought out an even closer finish at the weekend, so form is very strong….
Also runs off career low mark
The top weights
Calonne, mumayaz and Kaths toyboy, are added to cappatty con and praise of shadows for the combination tricast.
This race revolves around the horses not running the form is good at least of those running and we will just have to see if any of the form noted comes to bear 🐻 or if the draw has the effect I think it might.December 12, 2022 at 12:28 #1626666Just shows the potential of the system three of the first four home in the selections, including the first two.
But understanding the effects of free energy and the impact on the horses being the key to winning or losing.
Praise of shadows ran very well and then hit a brick wall and went out like a light
He was in receipt of negative free energy… How I’d have got the third horse….
probably on the draw…December 12, 2022 at 12:30 #16266671230 (1212)

Reverse forecastDecember 12, 2022 at 14:23 #1626669RECUERDAME win ( cover bet)
RIVER CHORUS win2.20
Another Alexander to go along with the last race in which OWER STARLIGHT romped home a long way clear of the favourite.
CHAGALL returned a place in fourth too.
RIVER CHORUS actually carries a penalty but he did it well at wolves on Friday getting home by three lengths.
Tries to keep a step ahead by turning out quickly and is upped in trip as well.
The benefit comes from two areas potentially and if he can take full advantage then River chorus has a chance. I have checked the CV of river chorus and has been over a mile twice no show last attempt but placed in better company the first time. So every chance of getting the mile and defying the penalty.
RIVER CHORUS
Win
River chorus misses wolves to come to lingfield, so while he may just be serving out his penalty over an inadequate trip he is turned out very swiftly..
Recuerdame is the cover bet as he is in form and running well

COMPASS POINT
Each way
Compass point is down from previous marks and if Persian wolf cannot defy a penalty come to pass is in Pole position to benefit . Penny dropped last run….December 12, 2022 at 16:00 #1626676Some pretty good returns from just a few races.
Sucked in by praise of shadows who like the penalised runners could not physically win. Still had the first two and the fourth in that assessment.

Charlie Appleby’s PHRENIKOS is a half brother to Corebus and looks a bit of a monkey.Very short price and one to leave alone win or lose.
Played hard both runs and James Doyle couldn’t put him right last time. Will Buick is back on frim Yarmouth where he jumped a path and couldn’t get home.
This is an ordinary run of the mill maiden which he might well win.
But with nothing to lose.
RAY OF COLOURS
Travels from Yorkshire on an awful night and led early on debut before falling away on debut. That is a notable Johnston runner Hallmark and they often improve and front run again subsequently.
A couple of quid each way will do no harm here.
The other play here is the winning distance which could be over 1.25 lengths given the size of the field ( any runner).December 12, 2022 at 18:26 #16266906.30
ABSTRACT
Each way
Was in behind van Gogh in Ireland and ahead of bear story in a decent maiden. Has mixed racing with hurdles so gets the trip well having finished third to champella over timber. All irrelevant form, but just confirms ability.
Dropped down from 70s rating. Entitled to get in the places here.

From out of the handicapDecember 12, 2022 at 18:44 #1626692Need to look very closely at Percy Jones who was demoted over this trip for interference at Brighton.
Won by a nose so we have a distance winner in a maiden here!!December 12, 2022 at 19:00 #1626694Punxsutawney Phil

Percy Jones.
WinDecember 12, 2022 at 19:06 #1626695It’s groundhog day as
PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL makes it a win in bumpers, chases, hurdles and now he comes out of the stalls on the all weather for a flat win.
And yes, that was an Alexander bet!!!
Both the first and second had wins behind them which is an excellent anomaly in racing. - AuthorPosts
