Chasing fire has won a maiden point by 6 lengths but that was over three miles but dropped back to 16 f he beat imperial Merlin by two lengths in a bumper on debut for new yard and 5.5 lengths clear of third place.
That runner was an eyecatcher that day running very freely and sure enough bolted up next time out at Sedgefield by nine lengths.
So the marker is there and the experience can tell for this 170k purchase and connections will likely be backing the winning margin too.
I’d sooner be backing him this way than the ridiculous odds and if he falls short, no loss.

Cesarawitch 2nd and 100 rated winning flat horse.Summer moon didn’t take to jumping well st all and was very keen and pulled up.
But CHASING FIRE was probably producing the best performance of today and took this race in his stride. Fifteen lengths and still counting…1.30
