Now that’s what you call decent and loving owners/connections. Won some nice prize money for the stable, was always well placed in quality races and was rarely asked the impossible. Probably last years GN the most optimistic entry of his career. Retired at the age 11 in one piece.
Sometimes it makes more sense to stop chasing the past and realize the present. How stupid is it to try out a new trip, new shoes or to believe that a treated heart will be the same it used to be two or three yeras ago?
Horses are no sports cars, but more human than their trainers and connections will ever be.
Mrs. Parrott and Wayward Prince enjoy a long and healthy retirement!!!

I was concerned that they’d be tempted to have a go in the National again next year so pleased to hear of his retirement. Racing needs it’s fairytale stories and happy endings.

….would have been more of a fairytale if I’d backed him last week, though, having been my ‘cliff horse’ for quite a long time….
