I mean it’s been almost 8 and a half hours since the last post. Only exception were the posts about the Betfair Chase. It is a bit too quiet in here some time, but this seems to happen more often. We don’t have to talk, if there isn’t much to talk about. Hopefully no one gets offended by my thread now.

Well, I resisted posting my thoughts that the Betfair Chase should be moved to the Sunday of Cheltenham’s Open meeting :)

Thanks for the answer SC. You might even have just a 4-runner race on Saturday, since I can’t see all Charlie Hall runners lining up. You might ask yourself if we are out of high class steeple chasers. 2nd place prize money is a very generous 42k, even if you think that Silviniaco Conti is unbeatable.

Not forgetting it’s the first leg of the £1m bonus treble, and, as you alluded to with irony, we have the biggest and best pool of talented Chasers in the living memory of many posters.

Well, I think David Pipe could run them both. First of all, it seems not only to me (I think Tom Scu mentioned this a couple of days ago), that his horses are in need of their first run. Plus the fact that the Pipe stable was never afraid of any bonuses, should make the BF Chase a bit more interesting. It’s even more interesting to find out that none of the entries – with the exception of Holywell – will end up in the Gold Cup. Considering that the BF chase used to be a decent GC trial or stepstone (call it whatever you want), this year’s renewal looks more like a Ryanair trial.

Some of us have to work and unfortunately the site gets blocked by our system so I can’t even get on here during lunchtime!

Ironically I can get on Sporting Life and Racing Post sites with no problem!

You shouldn’t visit any gambling sites at all during work.

Unfortunately I work so don’t get chance in the day to post and some nights there is nothing worth posting about.
However I still look and read others comments every day as there are some very good people on here worth listening to.

I’m the same as you Droffatts. I try and read the forum every evening but I don’t always have an opinion to express.

    Always a good read though.
