Due to the reorganisation of the forum, a thread I started in August last year has dropped away from sight. However, there may be some who remember that I came on here cheerfully extolling the virtues of a certain football team and suggesting them as a decent bet to be League One Champions.

Well, yesterday said football team were relegated from League One (with two games to play, no less) and I would therefore warn anyone foolish enough to read any football topics I may start in the future to bear in mind that I clearly know absolutely nothing about the sport.

I also seem to remember aiming some gentle abuse at a Nottingham Forest fan who replied to the thread around the same time (Lovely Lady?). One of us, clearly will be having the last laugh.

Two seasons back we were playing West Brom, Sheffield United and West Ham in the Championship. Now its Shrewsbury and Accrington Stanley.

I won’t mention the name of the team. They don’t deserve the publicity. But they wear red and rhyme with ‘We’ve won **** all’

I can’t quite match your tipping Aranalde but at the start of the season I did back Sheffield Wednesday to win the Championship on the basis that Paul Sturrock is supposedly a very good manager who wasn’t given a chance by Southampton.

As they have just avoided relegation they will probably carry my money again next season. A 66-1 winner methinks!!!!!!!!!
