Cant post on my other thread for some strange strange reason. Keep getting an error. Anyways time to start a new blog as such on matters of the 4 legged variety.
Recital

The only horse i have been really impressed from the Aidan O Brien yard this year. This obviously is the the complete package.
Breeding:
2-y-o (27Jan08 b c)
Montjeu (IRE) (11.6f) — Dibenoise (FR) (Kendor (FR ) (12.0f))Sales: £750,000 Y; 7th foal; brother to high-class 1m2f (Prix Ganay) winner Corre Caminos and half-brother to prolific Group winning miler Racinger; dam unraced half-sister to smart miler River Of Light out of French 2yo 1m Gr 3 winner Boreale.
As we can see this is a very very very expensive purchase and i must think one of the highest priced Montjeu’s ever. Obviously he is a big imposing colt as Murtagh said after victory “It rode like a proper race, and he picked up well. He’s a big, green horse who stays well and has plenty of class. You may see him in the first week of June next year.”. Whether or not this Big Montjeu can handle the twist turns and bumps at Epsom is another thing and his head looked quite ugly at times but we can write most of that off to greeness but even still the doubt about the head is always at the back of your mind. He travelled very comfortably into the race but seemed to take a while to quicken when asked. He has to be up their with the best for the Derby at this early stage. IMO if he is put away now and not raced again until the Ballysax he will benefit from it. Looked every inch a potential Derby Winner. Galileo didn’t make his debut or did Fame and Glory till This time in October. Forget France and Coolmore could have finally have found their Derby Winner
October 23, 2010 at 16:35 #324094Casamento: A Horse to take on as a 3yr old
http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae172/Hino1989/casemento.jpg
Casamento was very smart i must admit today but now that he has gone to Dubai their has to be almost a 50:50 chance he will never run to this form again. He took quite a while to get moving forward today and it does seem to take a long time to hit full gear. A big Galloping track like the Curragh and Doncaster shows him at his best but if he is a Derby Horse as it seems to be muted then their is very little chance he can make any impact at Epsom. I not even sure he will stay the Derby Distance purely based on pedigree. The fact that he heads to Dubai means the 2000 Guineas is off the wall talk and their is at least a 50% chance he won’t make Epsom in my opinion. I think like Kingsfort last year the best may have already come. Be taking him on in all the big races next year and especially the Derby!
November 5, 2010 at 19:45 #326417I read something very interesting that Harry Findlay bets 100 Million a year but has a 4% return on his investment.
4 Million is 4 Million. Now i reckon all punters can manage at least a 30% return on investments if done correct. Now i taken this to the betfair account this weekend to see what can be done. I certainly believe this is the way forward to for me. To take betting as a investment as such.

Profit and Loss is shown net of commission.I staked 218.43 Euro last night and returned with a profit of 84.90 Euro which is a return of 38.86% on my nights work which is decent start. I had a horrid time at the Breeders Cup with the favorite in the last….came 2nd and would have boosted the stats
November 13, 2010 at 20:27 #327822Will start my laying thread in a few days.
But just a quick note on Recital…did it quite well today by all accounts. Haven’t seen the race but he won it by 5l. Still not convinced about these Group 3 Races(Group 1 Races) on heavy ground. I suspect its a nice boost to Montjeu after a pretty horrendus year it has to be said. Its quite obvious now that Roderic O Conner and Recital are the only Guineas Derby Horse he has and we should never deviate from that notion i feel.
November 13, 2010 at 20:31 #327824WOW EEE WOOO WITH BELLS ON.
As Matt Chapman would say. Zaidpour made a striking debut for Mullins today. This very classy flat horse ran away with the 2m4f race today. This horse has every inch of a stamp on Micky D( Crack novice chaser for this year). He just oozed class that can only be found with nice classic breds. Very exciting….wooopppiiee!!!!!!!!
http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae172/Hino1989/zaidpour.jpg
Afterwards Mullins revealed "he showed me today what he had been telling me at home!"
He added "I would not be afraid to drop him back in trip as he has plenty of gears. We’ve plenty of time with him but he may run in the Royal Bond Hurdle at Fairyhouse on November 28 next."
November 14, 2010 at 13:46 #327918Hi Wallace,
very taken with Recital’s performance yesterday, won it easy.
Was very interesting that Desmond Stoneham in the RP today wrote that considering the ground was bottomless it was an AMAZING performance by a colt with such a good action.
He also described it as EASILY the most impressive display for a juvenile in France this season.
I hope you are on for the Derby at big prices. I’ll be investing today at 16s.
November 14, 2010 at 14:33 #327936I have 50 quid at 30 on Betfair….
He is now 15.5 so hopefully he get shorter than 8 or so and i can lay off with some profit. Mind you might just keep the bet as he is their only Derby Horse and not convinced about the rest of the Derby Horses that have gone to Godolphin now.
HMMM
I will reinvest a few more before he runs in a trial i think.
Can’t stake anymore until he reappears next year
November 16, 2010 at 13:25 #328190I have backed Rory McIlroy to win at 10 on betfair for 500 euro in Hong Kong at the weekend.
He finished 2nd last year with a score of seventeen under, just two shots adrift of winner Gregory Bourdy. The previous year he was tied second after being beaten in a play-off by Wen-tang Lin.
He obviously like the course and will allow a perfect trade out fingers crossed. Its not a great field so if Rory can be within 2-3 on the final day he trade well below his 10 mark currently.
No interest in anything else for the weekend but think i might put a solid bet on NZ stuffing Ireland in the Rugby
November 19, 2010 at 15:48 #328646Laid of Rory at 4.8 and secured a risk free profit of 522 Euro
