Aidens 2yo winning first time out is usually a massive pointer to something pretty decent, 5/2 is fair but i dont like the stepping up to 7f

    Will be laying expert eye

Had a few e/w bets on james garfield, really like this horse at the price and a little bit on mildenberger

I’d press gently on that lay button if I were you, hamster.

Bullish messages buzzing around about Expert Eye. All the right birds are singing.

I too have had my ‘presidential’ bet on James Garfield to ‘assassinate’ this field at 10/1. I backed him at Ascot and he ran a massive race over a trip too shy for him and I feel he’s more than capable of mixing it at this level. Likewise, my other main bet is Mildenberger at 11/2. He’s done nothing wrong in two starts and one couldn’t help but be impressed with the manor of his victory at Newbury. I’ve had a saver on Sallab at 18/1 just in case as I saw him in the flesh on debut and put him in the notebook due to his looks and attitude.

Happy to lay at the price, nothing too heavy though, stoutes % the last few weeks and his 2yo record this year is pretty poor, that mixed in with the fact that james garfield and mildenberger are too big of a price considering their form, i think expert eye will need to improve quite significantly to win this and i cant see it quite yet (entirely possible though)

The obrien horse is the one who bothers me most from a betting perspective and if neither of my two bets fire i feel seahenge will pull me from the flames from a laying perspective!

But Thanks for the info ill maybe lay a little less ;-)

On Seahenge @ 4’s. Looks like he will really appreciate the extra furlong

When I saw this was an 11 runner race thought it was going to be a vintage Vintage. But am disappointed in all bar the first three in the betting. That said, one or two of them three could be good. When backing the top three at those prices there’s only really one way to do it:

I was quite impressed with how Mildenburger did it at Newbury and he’s my main bet @ 6/1.
Saved on Expert eye and Seahenge, both at 5/2 (8/11 combined). When Stoutey and (these days) O’Brien have a first time out 2 year old winner, they usually improve and these are particularly well bred.

Is there such a thing as a “Seahenge”? I live quite close to a “Woodhenge” which isn’t (any longer) made of wood.

Well done Judge, you made all of us look like mugs. The market told us late on what to expect I guess.

That’s a good horse, a few in behind didn’t have the best of runs and the pace went against a lot of them so I wouldn’t get ahead of myself yet. I’d want to see him do it in a hotter race to be honest but no denying he’s a top prospect.

Think that’s about right tbh LS.
Wish I had an account with BetFred, 8/1 there.
    Taken 7/1 with B365.

Mildenberger would’ve been second with a clear run, but that was an outstanding performance by a Stoute two year old this early in the season. :good:

6/1 best now, still looks a cracking price to me. :mail:

Poor price in my opinion. 8/1 is probably about right. Many weren’t happy with the pace of the race and I’m not convinced he’s a Guineas winner – yet. The form line through Zaman wouldn’t suggest there’s much between him and Gustav Klimt.

How much will you lay us at 8s, Charles?
