    Vieux Lion Rouge sadly passed away a week Friday gone , in retirement David Pipe announced due to colic aged 17yrs rip 😢 xxx

    More sad news … colic is such a horrid thing … What an amazing horse he was holding the record for the number of jumps he cleared during his many Aintree races over the National fences.

    Sad to hear but he had a good life. He paraded several times at Aintree after he retired and was very popular with the crowd.

    Really sad to hear this. Colic takes far too many lives.
