One for the absolute anoraks here.
To my knowledge, only 1 horse in the UK has won 3 races at a price of 50/1 or bigger. The horse is still in training and ran earlier this week.
Can you name him/her?
Answer in a couple of hours.
October 17, 2010 at 19:16 #322996Jug of Punch?
October 17, 2010 at 19:19 #322998OK, so maybe it wasn’t that difficult!
hahahahaha, congratulations that man!
October 17, 2010 at 19:26 #323001Thanks BB, but can’t stop – I’ve got to tidy my stamps away and record the Great Western engines numbers I noted down this weekend at Kemble Railway Station
October 17, 2010 at 20:57 #323015Ah, what a constant source of amusement and bemusement Jug Of Punch has been in his six and a half years with Simon T Lewis – just four wins from 59 starts for him, yet still returning a level stakes profit of 105 points!
Entered up in a Ludlow seller on Thursday, should anyone fancy a look. He likes Ludlow – he’s only not won six of his eight starts there…

January 27, 2011 at 20:52 #337955I’ve only just seen this thread…hilarious.
My name is Jug of Punch 66 because I nailed him at 66/1 at Cheltenham when he won the class two handicap hurdle back in 2008! Ever since that point I became a value hunter junkie.
I have swerved Jug of Punch ever since thank god. But there will always be a place in my heart for him, just not on my bet slips!
January 28, 2011 at 23:33 #338103As it’s Cheltenham tomorrow.
Since 1994, is the highest Tricast NH Handicap payout £ 54,466.58 ?
If so, Course/Date/Time please.
Paddy Power knocked back my £0.37 bet.
January 28, 2011 at 23:41 #338106I only know the answer to that because I was working at Ladbrokes Head Office at the time, and a shop called us to say a customer had got it for 50p, Niche Markets Irish Grand National 2009
