If the world could actually sort out its drug problems rather than class everything it isn’t sure about as ‘illegal’ we wouldn’t be having these issues. Making things like cocaine/weed/etc against the law is not the answer. With legality you would also gain intelligence and people would be taught from a young age the genuine effects of these drugs rather than being hushed away and unspoken-about; that method is no good to anyone.
Anyway, welcome back Frankie!!
I watched a documentary about the war on drugs in the USA. The US government has spent trillions of dollars fighting illegal drug trading since the 1970’s and the effect that this has had totals a great big fat ZERO. When you think about what that money could have been spent on instead, the mind boggles. I think we need to look at society as a whole and ask WHY do so many of our citizens feel the need to take drugs?
Legalising would seem a sensible way forward. It has been proven you will never stop the flow of drugs through keeping them illegal, so spend the money on educating and improving social conditions instead.
Of course the hypocrisy of having one of the most addictive and harmful drugs in the world, Alcohol, both legal and "sexy" and targeted, in some instances, directly at young drinkers, will carry on unabated.
I think a sober and quiet re-introduction of Frankie should have been the order of the day. OK, he didn’t kill anybody, but neither should he perceived as the lovable wide boy who just happened to be caught again.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 15, 2013 at 18:47 #439689Thw guys who applaud the wide boys and the scammers do not bet a penny on the horses, ******* mugs game, which of course it is.
Anoraks who study form and all that malarky are naive children with their 10p EW ”system horses”and are hobbyists.
Racing is the domain of insiders to the exclusion of all others.

Do you represent a separatist militant wing of The Quakers or something..?

May 16, 2013 at 07:46 #439711Racing fans need to form a cynical wing to question the whole world of racing. A recently retired trainer asked about the future of racing replied ”It needs a bit of skullduggery ”
Perhaps so but it’s ALL skullduggery these days.May 16, 2013 at 10:35 #439724Frankie’s offence is not in the same league as Zarooni’s. Why not welcome Frankie back? Done his time and should be forgiven.
Agreed. By far the most naturally gifted rider since Eddery retired. Makes the Perham indoctrinated BRS lot look distinctly average.

I am no "

Are those who "

" Woolfie?
Anyone who knows any subject could be called an "anorak".Calling it "

Thinking anyone can make a profit without "

Value Is EverythingMay 16, 2013 at 16:42 #439749It’s difficult to study form when horses are not giving their running in any given race, form study is about comparing performances. Your method Ginge is a means of avoiding picking a single best runner in a race instead naming several with potential, even then you can miss the winner.

Careful. That’s just how Baader-Meinhof started and that ended in a hail of bullets and the drop of a rope…

Horses don’t "give their running" for many reasons Woolfie, rarely due to any wrong-doing.
If my
form study
did
not
work Woolfie, then my backing "
several
" horses would just result in a big
loss
. The trick is to back horses which are "value", whether that is one horse or multiple horses in a race…
But I would not expect you to know that Woolfie, because you don’t have a clue about the subject you’re talking about. Being unwilling to "study" it.
Value Is EverythingMay 16, 2013 at 18:24 #439759The tiresome and ugly pejorative "anorak" is a chuckaway term applied to the bright, capable and diligent by the dim, incapable and lazy
May 16, 2013 at 18:29 #439760I studied form all my life until shock winners virtually outnumbered likely or potential winners. It’s a joke and most sensible people recognise this even you Ginge with your multi- pick, unstakeable system are regularly made a mug of.
May 16, 2013 at 21:36 #439770Here is the interview with him:

Regards

"Why did you take Cocaine Frankie" A sympathetic Claire asks??
At that point Frankie has the opportunity to win back at least a glimmer of the credibility he’s snorted away.Alas No he comes out with the "I was depressed"…………DEPRESSED? He couldn’t have come out with a more ridiculous answer! Frankie Dettori Depressed! Ffs!……"Why were you depressed Frankie"? asks Claire pretending not to know they have rehearsed the Interview several times prior to filming!
"Things weren’t going well"! What? This is the Guy with everything, a life of Luxury, recognition,a job he’s loved,a Supportive family and Millions in the Bank. When the guy with everything needs a buzz he turns to Cocaine and has done for years, simple! Why not just admit it Frankie and cut the Crap!
There’s a huge misconception about ‘Coke’ and its addictive nature,Users turn to it when they need an edge. Many users can control theirhabit
as it doesn’t have the impact of Heroine and effect their everyday life,I know several Musicians who swear by it as it keeps them focused on stage and they insist it actually enhances their performance. Why Frankie cant just admit it does the same for him only adds to the insincerity of the guy.
As for jumping on the ‘Al Zarooni’ bandwagon now just shows he’s clutching at straws as to laying blame for his behaviour! Why do you really think Sheikh Mohammed has nothing to do with him now?
Leopard,Spots…..May 17, 2013 at 16:20 #439828Looks like Leicester may have been premature:-
"BHA is seeking further clarification from France Galop but is unable to make any additional comment at this time.”May 17, 2013 at 16:24 #439829The BHA have just tweeted:
‘Confirmation that a race title at Leicester on Mon 20th May remains ‘British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes’
The proposed title of ‘EBF Welcome Back Frankie Maiden Stakes’ was never authorised by BHA & was not deemed appropriate.’
May 17, 2013 at 18:05 #439841A day off for Frankie on Monday then. He must be well pleased, nobody likes work on a Monday.
May 17, 2013 at 18:14 #439845When are horseracing fans going to ******* grow up, you are simply retards in your devotion to the STARS and the top stables. Try to apply what little intellect you posses to asses the degree of skullduggery that is happening now in racing.
