UF Systems

I have decided to put up two systems that I am paper trading at the moment. I intend to achieve +10 points LSP from each system, a month and a strike rate of 35%.

Good luck Dave’. I do like it when someone puts up their expectations in terms of strike rate and profit. It usually means that the system has been well researched even though it may not yet have been paper traded.

Thanks for the encouragement fellas, let’s see what happens today. These systems are really for the flat but I’ll trade the NH selections as well … give us a bit of interest while things are quiet.

4/4/03<br>Quite so ttt .. I’m just going to trade these for a month and then throw out any that don’t perform, so it’s just a bit of fun at this stage. UFA1 & 2 must get a 35% strike rate and UFA3 must get around 50%, or they are back in the shoe box. I’m only interested in the Flat selections really, I don’t bet on the NH after Cheltenham as a rule, there doesn’t seem to be much point.

Might I suggest that a month isnt long enough to monitor results for any system/approach??!!

Yes, ttt, quite true. I have researched these systems quite extensively .. the UFA3 system is okay, I use this quite a bit of the flat, last season it had a strike rate of around 65 -70%.

What I haven’t done with the other two is paper trade them although the research has been done. IMO, research and actual betting are two completely different things. That’s why I’m going to give these a month .. I know how they performed in line with the modules that I used to research, now I need to know if I can go to the paper before racing and get the same results that I did in my research. If I can’t I will kick them into touch !!

Interesting selections Dave,

Financial Future should win – but in the long run, if you averaged  6/4 for this sort you would lose – 7/4 break even – 2/1 profit

thats what i love about this game – every day is a challenge – every day has numerous possibilities
