I dont mind setting myself up as the laughing stock,as i was always taught not to laugh at others if you cant laugh at yourself! So here goes-
Sizing Europe
too many ??? for my liking! One in particular is his resolution in battle!
Solwhit
i dont think he will be speedy enough, has got to be there at the death though!
Long Run
too young, too novicey.too risky! even though i backed him months ago for the RSA to small stakes to cover my Mikael bets!
Tranquil Sea
still absolutely convinced if something gets into a battle with him he"ll quit!
Big Bucks
I have said it all year Tidal Bay will sprint past him!
We"ll see!
I have to put my hands up to
Sizing Europe
anything that can beat Somersby like that has to be exceptional,he was always just a stride too quick for my horse! Big Bucks beating "Rupert" doesn"t exactly let Tidal Bay down so i might just have a small slice for that!Anyway nobody celebrates victory quite so vociferously as me (thats why i"m top poster) so you have to accept it when you are wrong!
March 21, 2010 at 11:27 #284603My humble pie was devoured when Zaynar failed to win the Champion Hurdle. Mind you, I was quietly nibbling a few of the surrounding crumbs when he got turned over at 1-14 at Kelso
March 21, 2010 at 11:32 #284608I can’t afford to buy any humble pie after that week!
March 21, 2010 at 20:50 #284723A good week but I constantly put up Advisor in the Triumph and he just wasn’t man enough

Same here!
But the Triumph was one of those races where i think many of the jocks just got it wrong, by not chasing Barizan earlier. The vast majority of them obviously thought he was going to tire after a mile or so, i reckon.
March 22, 2010 at 21:33 #284959I had a shocking week

Peddlers Cross, Big Buck’s and Pigeon Island were my only winners but my three main fancies (Tranquil Sea, Masterminded and Dunguib) all got turned over so I lost a fair bit overall.
I backed Najaf, Arcalis and Radium all to win for small stakes on the exchanges on the Friday. That was hard to take, particularly Najaf.
Bring on Aintree

Particularly Arcalis at 50/1,he let Katy get 1st run and that bloody 3lb nonsense, that should have been 3rd time lucky for him,he will never be so well handicapped again now he is 10yo!

Blimey, Aragorn, great minds think alike! Well, they do if you did the latter 2 each-way…did have an each-way double for the former 2 though
March 24, 2010 at 22:05 #285435If Arcalis runs badly for the next 11 months and then they put a decent claimer on his back, he might just do it next year. Won’t be 40/1, though.
March 25, 2010 at 12:41 #285495Imperial Commander getting hom effortlessly over the GC trip was probably my biggest rick…………..alongside the litany of duds I backed ante-post and throughout the week!
March 25, 2010 at 13:05 #285501I deserve a slice for desertion, both on Bin and Buena Vista. Especially Bin. I did get stuck into Big Bucks and Sizing Europe thankfully and had a bit of Menorah and Baby Run for desert. Maybe my best desert was forgetting how much I had had, on Big Zeb on Betfair, early ante post, until I looked at the statement Sat. I had gone completely off him on the day.
March 25, 2010 at 23:17 #285622Marty’s Mission was a disappointment. I kept backing him in whatever race he seemed to be going for; the owner even said he was his best tip for the week.
March 26, 2010 at 11:35 #285682Didn’t have one winner all Cheltenham but that will change come Punchestown. The biggest disappointment was The Package, I’d backed him at 14s and was counting my money. Still can’t believe he didn’t win. He better go and win the National now.
It was a Cheltenham to forget for even the best tipsters. Apart from Tuesday, Tom Segal didn’t have a sniff thereafter.
April 1, 2010 at 20:50 #287055I can only think I’m all shagged and tired out by the time the main event happens!
New Boy friend Marb?
April 1, 2010 at 21:50 #287066Ha ha! If only you would stop ribbing me about that monkey e/w bet I never put on 2 year ago, I would tell you about the delicious Carribean ladies, and that very special one that was well worth the eight hour plane journey!
She didn’t charge me either.

You mean you got a free bet in Kingston? Unheard of!
April 2, 2010 at 13:18 #287152Hope you had a profitable Cheltenham wise one, though I see Razor Royale weren’t up to much after winning a weak RacingPost chase.

Like i said in the "Razor" thread at the start of the season!
As for Cheltenham, well, Modesty and all that Marb! You know me!
