Was anyone else very impressed with the way Analifet travelled and then quickened away yesturday? 10/1 generally and seems very promising.

Could not have been more impressive, as second looks quite useful. Long way to go, but deserving fav at this stage

Early days but much the best of the Irish and for me she was visually a good deal more impressive than Royal Irish Hussar.

Calipto another one who looked impressive and I believe is still 20/1 on paddypower. The Nichols team are very fond of this French import and is a very strong traveler.

Seriously how good was the filly yesterday? Triumph Hurdle winner right there – Anafilet!

Might shop around for a quote on her for the Mares Hurdle in 2015!

But seriously thinking of a £25 e/w double on The New One in the Champion Hurdle and Anafilet in this, would be very generous odds.

Just be a little wary. Last week after Just A Par’s victory Nicholls was talking about bypassing the Festival in favour of a handicap mark for next year’s Hennessy (remember Rocky Creek last year). Similarly after this horse won he was talking about the possibility of missing Cheltenham in favour of some lucrative French prizes. One thing is for sure the average punter will be the last one to know what is actually happening.

Thanks for the heads up, probably best to stick to the favourite then, haven’t given the rest of the potential runners a thorough search through yet but she really looks like the stand-out horse and come race day 12/1 will be an absolute steal!

Currently Analifet would have to be the bet of the festival..Improving with every race and not off the bridle..due to run on Boxing day and odds tumbling for triumph..Get on!

Analifet might not race again. Obviously early stages but could be a very serious injury

Is Thomas Hobson still with John Gosden? Does he often train NH horses? I’m a bit confused about this; have been expecting him to go to a NH yard.

Thanks Mark; I’ve been checking on the Racing Post site for ages but it still has him down as trained by Gosden. Got even more confused when I saw him in the betting for the Triumph, even though I knew he was being aimed at that.

My guess is he’s been given a break – he’s been in training all year with an April seasonal debut.

Then again maybe schooling hasn’t gone well and he can’t hurdle for toffee !

Not mentioned on the Mullins site. Wonder what’s going on? [horses on it are a ‘preview’ so site was set up before they bought him]

They bought him only a short time ago.

Seems to have been registered in December under Mrs Ricci’s ownership
