Anything that finishes ahead of Our Conor will win The Triumph. If anything that is.
My thoughts exactly. Another poor bunch from this side on the Irish Sea IMO.
My only concern about this Irish raider is how he’ll go on the better ground. Looking through past from, his worst run on the flat was on ‘good ground’…..worth noting?!?!
Someone convince me and i’m ready to take the dive!
February 25, 2013 at 14:07 #430515looking at the way he travels you’d think he’ll go even better on quick spring ground. anyway he’s by jeremy who bounced off quick ground, he won the jersey at royal ascot for example. looks a spitting image of his sire.
besides I wouldn’t worry about the ground too much I doubt it will be any quicker than good to soft, if the weather forecast is anything to go by.
the ultra fast pace they normally go in this race will only play into his hands. you can just imagine him pulling double over them coming around the home bend and the irish roar goes up.

just lumped on at 9-2 NRNB so certainly hope so
February 25, 2013 at 14:18 #430516I’m more than happy to have Rolling Star on my side.
He could have beaten Irish Saint much more easily at the course LTO with miles back to the rest and given that it was his first run for the trainer you’d expect him to improve.
Our Conor looks decent and this could be one of the races of the festival – with Far West not out of it – but I remember how confident the Ditcheat team were before the trial, only to be kicked into touch.
Irish Saint nay not have franked the form fully on Saturday but he still won and it’s Rolling Star for me come March.
