Australia have, at the last count, over a dozen players missing for this game, have lost their last four games and New Zealand need to win this final game to secure the Tri-Nations. Just checked on Betfair to find NZ at 1.1 and Australia at 12. Although this Australian team is obviously some way off their best, a similarly depleted side came within 2 points of beating South Africa, who have not been that far behind New Zealand in this tournament. Australia have been thrown off their stride by some questionable lineout tactics used by their opponents, but, assuming they have been working on dealing with this, they still have the players, the ability and more importantly, the desire to win this game. I have never seen an Australian team give up anything and pride is at stake here. So Australia to win at 11-1 seems like its worth a go.
