    The ongoing dispute between Ladbrokes/Coral & Betfred has escalated with the three betting shops now not receiving any pictures from 6 Arena leisure courses, bookmakers banned from using the 6 courses and now TRP have now started legal proceedings against the bookmakers for misuse of data and the use of unofficial commentaries.

    If the dispute drags on then the bookmakers will lose access to 15 courses from next January.

    I thought that the bookmakers had a small share in ATR? if so how can they not give their own tv pictures to themselves?

    Are ARC not shooting themselves as old BetFred could just tell ATR to get lost and take Chelmsford to Racing UK.

    All seems very silly to be getting into a nonsensical dispute over tv rights doesn’t racing have enough problems?

    On a lighter note I did like this comment from a Southwell punter yesterday
