Thank you for hosting this BigG
its really hard with all those non runners to mark up, you done a grand job.
Well done Michael on winning and Neil getting so close
As Ian said it is a strong competitive competition and I’m delighted to get third at York
Jac that write up just made me spit my coffee out…
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 20, 2022 at 23:06 #1612149Congrats Mike!
Nice job of consistent picking over the four days! Great job.
Well done to Neil and Nathan on making the podium. Getting within 10 pts of the winner makes for a very close contest.Big thanks to Graham for running this contest for us. They really are a highlight of the forums and get so many involved. Much appreciated mate.
My picks were abysmal again. Oh well, it’s still a lot of fun.
PS: Not that it really matters Graham, but you missed 10 pts for me again today – I believe I had Pogo finish second at 9/1 on the 3:00.
August 21, 2022 at 00:26 #1612154Glad that made you smile Nathan.😅🤣
You’re so right about all those non runners so easy to.let one slip under the radar and also remembering to award the 4th and sometimes 5th place in bigger fields, when your tired the numbers seem to merge into one it takes some concentration to get it 100%.Graham you did a great job this week..that Superhero plaque awarded by Ian should be put in pride of place.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 21, 2022 at 00:46 #1612157Well done Mike great tipping thanks Big G for running the competion
August 21, 2022 at 01:01 #1612160Aaaaarrgh, Just when I thought I’d hit a perfect day, I only went
and short changed my mate from across the pond. Andre this could
start an international incident, and Boris has fecked off so there’s
no one to step in. But wait a minute, if I am infact a superhero,
as Mr Davies said, I might have the power…pooffffff, that’s with
smoke and sparks as well, done
Sorry mate, I don’t know how I missed that one but it’s fixed now, and
I’m glad you enjoyed the 4 days
August 21, 2022 at 01:05 #1612161Many thanks all for the nice comments
August 21, 2022 at 10:27 #1612181Wd Mike and thanks BigG for the score updates, even if you did get my name wrong ;o)
I may have scored 66 yesterday BigG, feel free to double check.
August 21, 2022 at 10:36 #1612182I’ve added the extra 0 in the 007 Mike, jeesh, see you
secret agents
Just heading off but I’ll check your score later on mate
August 21, 2022 at 17:11 #1612236Well done mike, hard luck Red Rum not far behind.
Thanks BigG for your efforts in organising the competition.
I was in touch for a while, ‘prominent early, outpaced to halfway, headway day 3 to chase leaders, weakened day 4.’

August 23, 2022 at 13:39 #1612340Well done Mike and a thrilling finish too. Love the close finishes in theses competitions

Apologies for my tardiness but life does get in the way sometimes

Top stuff Graham well run and you did good considering all the non runners too

I must say the tipping didn’t reflect our betting in the household. Mrsraymo had the one two three betting wise in three races WOW!! Last race first day which included a 50/1 second and a 40/1 third
Then on Thursday she had Blue For You Escobar and Tyrrhenian Sea and then to cap it all on Saturday she had Summerghand’s race all sown up too!!
But ultimately I won the cakes
Work that one out if you will !!
August 23, 2022 at 15:24 #1612349Wow there’s a nice surprise!! I’ve been away for a few days so I’d completely forgotten to check the result!!

Thanks to all involved in running the competition – it’s a tough job to get all those numbers right especially when it’s so close.
Hard luck to all those who were close behind me it was great tipping by all of you

Looking forward to the next comp already.
Thanks,
