Great job Red Rum. Thanks.
One very, very minor thing.
Are we including R4s?On Saturday’s results: In my own totalling up I included a 15p (0.5 point in all) decuction for Any Currency being a non-runner in Lively Barron’s Sandown race (running at Aintree instead). I realise R4’s may be difficult to include in doing these results; probably adding a lot of time working out who came out and when. Whyldesyde’s Lively Barron bet (placed before mine) doesn’t seem to be effected.
What I am saying is: If R4’s are not to be included that’s fine with me, (I presume) my total should be upped 0.5 points (for accuracy purposes you understand).
Value Is EverythingDecember 11, 2012 at 18:17 #422420Big thanks to Jbale and Red Rum for looking after the scoreboard.
When scoring the early weeks I didn’t included rule 4.

Thanks for pointing that out. I do know that Rule 4 comes off your winnings, not your stake but others may not know how to calculate rule 4 and take it off all your return for the horse in question.
If Nathan didn’t include rule 4 then that’s good enough for me and I’ve amended your score and position Ginger.
Now I got to start improving my position since I’ve lost the lead.
December 11, 2012 at 19:34 #422432Nathan, if it came up how would you settle deadheats.

Because I think you should do it to half your stake to full odds, which is how the bookmakers do it.
December 11, 2012 at 23:24 #422507Looks the best solution to me RedRum. Maybe Cormack could adjust r4 and deadheats into the rules.

Thumbs up.
Value Is EverythingDecember 12, 2012 at 21:37 #422672So what are we saying on Rule 4 – no deductions?
Dead heats half stake to full odds?

Since the is no way of keeping track of the price of the non runner actual price when it was taken out, other than using Racing Post [which I buy a copy of on Saturdays] tissue prices for races not marked up and this I fell is very inaccurate. So the best way to treat this is no rule 4.
Dead heats are easier because you can see if the are more than one winner of a race.
