If Grand Crus takes the Gold Cup route Mr Nicholls will allow Silvinano Conti to take his place in the RSA If not he is off to Aintree
I think Nicholls attitude about that stinks. Doesn’t want to take on Grand Crus again. A couple of lengths behind a horse being touted for the Gold Cup and he’s worried about it running in the championship race ?
I like the horse.
February 7, 2012 at 22:40 #390257Grands Crus 3-1 Sporting bet 2 points win. A shoo-in if he runs and I think he will.Better to win the RSA than be placed in the Gold Cup.
February 8, 2012 at 04:16 #390278Martin Keighley definitely said Champion Court would be aimed for this but he’s nearly 3 times the odds than he is for the Jewson so I take it he’s changed his mind so I can’t have him in fear he wont run.
I see no reason why the Pipes won’t go for the Gold Cup in their lust for glory. They can’t help themselves, so the chances are in backing Grand Crus you could be backing a non runner.
Bog Warrior would win this Grand Crus or no Grand Crus IMO but he looks like giving the race a body swerve.

looks the safest bet.
February 8, 2012 at 12:30 #390308I’ll colate the list later when I get home from work. In the meantime, the next race is the Supreme – so fire away when you’re ready as prices will no doubt come and go after the big novice hurdles this weekend and also when the bookies start trimming everything on Sunday afternoon.
Or when Simonsig hoses up on Saturday.
2pt win Simonsig at 12s with Laddies.
February 8, 2012 at 12:46 #390313There’s value to be had in the Supreme but where to find it
Personally I feel the Irish trio Cash And Go, Midnight Game and Dylan Ross are overpriced. Willie Mullins has made no secret of how highly he rates Midnight Game and he’s improving with every run. Out of the three he’s the one I least fancy but he’d go there with a good each way chance.
Cash And Go has done very little wrong over hurdles and was a good winner last time out, beating Dylan Ross. That was a serious performance and he has a really likable attitude. We’ll hopefully know a lot more about these two after the weekend.
Dylan Ross on the other hand has an attitude problem it would seem. He has a bad case of the Harchibalds and I’m not sure why they sent him for home so early last time out against Midnight Game. With a more patient ride he’d probably have still only been second but he would have been the one coming on the bridle rather than the other way around. He’scome against my other two fancies and lost both times but Cheltenham is where the tables could turn. If the ground is quick and they go like the clappers (chances are they will) then nothing will be travelling better turning for home. Hopefully Paul Carberry can keep him covered up until the last I think he might even win the thing, never mind place.
Dylan Ross

Think Colour Sqaudron will enjoy going left handed and has place claims but not sure he’s good enough to win.
This Ireland’s most succesful race of The Festival, so it may pay to look across the Irish Sea. The one I like is Cash and Go, beat Sous Les Sioux and Dylan Ross well enough and has the sort of fighting attitude that shouldn’t see him easily outbattled up the hill.
Cash And Go, 16/1 win 2 points, generally available.

February 8, 2012 at 17:04 #390367Christ this one looks like it’ll take some picking. I have 2 in mind and either way it would have to be e/w because I’m not confident enough to stick my neck on the line for either. Think I’ll leave mine until Sunday evening
February 8, 2012 at 17:20 #390369I’ll go 1pt ew Colour squadron. I like cash and go too but colour squadron ran sideways and still nearly beat conan. He has impressed with his ability just hope that greenness will be lessened this time around.
