1pt ew First Lieutenant for me at 12s
January 8, 2014 at 16:45 #464239Oh dear; so the Dude has been entered for it. Bit of head scatching now.
January 8, 2014 at 20:21 #464260There’s three horses overpriced in the Gold Cup for me: Bobs Worth, First Lieutenant and Last Instalment.
Bobs Worth has proven himself to be a top class staying chaser. His Haydock run aside and he’s been a cut above the rest over the past two seasons. I think he should be the shorter side of 2/1 but I’d like something a bit juicier for the purposes of this.
First Lieutenant looks a great each way bet at 12/1. He’s never ran a bad race at the Festival and as usual his whole season is probably primed around March. If I was backing one now it’d be him but I’m tempted to go for the outsider here.
Last Instalment was an exceptional novice chaser before succumbing to injury after winning the Drinmore. He hasn’t ran since then which is obviously a major worry but he’s still only nine. He’s due to run in Thurles next week and he’ll probably have to win well to be considered for the Gold Cup but it will be very interesting if he does.
Gold Cup – LAST INSTALMENT 1 pt e/w @ 50/1 (Bet 365 NRNB)
January 9, 2014 at 01:10 #464289Evening all. I’d like to throw my hat in with Melodic rendezvous for the CH at 50/1 and Al Ferof for the gold cup at 16’s. Both EW.
January 9, 2014 at 12:46 #464313I love Bobs Worth but at the current prices it’ll have to be
Silviniaco Conti 2pt win @ 7/2 (general)
Lee
January 9, 2014 at 17:59 #464352Last Instalment looked like he was going to be a star as a Novice but has been out Injured for almost 2 years now but his form in beating First Lieutenant comfortably looks quite good and he is/was an awesome jumper of a fence,it’ll be a big ask but if he wins his comeback run next week comfortably i presume the plan will be the Gold cup and he’ll surely shorten.
Last Instalment 50/1 e/w
January 10, 2014 at 21:53 #464483Hi all,
New on here, but will have a go at this if I may.
Will go with Hurricane Fly for the Champion Hurdle (2pts win at 10/3 with Coral), and although I can’t see past Bob’s Worth in the Gold Cup, will go with Last Instalment for the purpose of this, in the hope that he can maintain his novice form. 1pt EW at 50s.
Cheers
January 11, 2014 at 13:37 #464630Hi,
I am also new to the Forum and would like to play.
Champion Hurdle: I will take a chance on MTOY, 2 pts at 4/1 with WH
Gold Cup: I can’t see past Bobs Worth, 2pts at 9/4 with BetfredJanuary 12, 2014 at 14:03 #464734Unlike the Champion where i’m quite happy to take on TNO with a punt on UDS, i cannot abandon Bobs Worth
Gold Cup – 2 points win Bobs Worth, 9/4
with Betfred and others.
January 12, 2014 at 20:45 #464764Hi Guys,
I’d like to join in the fun!
CH: I’m a big The New One fan so it’s 2 points win @ 10/3 WH
GC: Hoping for a Al Ferof win in the Denamn Chase and on to the Gold Cup, so it’s 1pt E/W Al Ferof @ 16/1 WH
Good luck to all!
January 12, 2014 at 21:35 #464767Bobs Worth is one of my favourite horses in training and has done me a lot of favours, none more so than last year so I can’t desert him now. I would love to see him surge up the hill in March.
2pts win Bobs Worth @ 9/4 with Betfred.January 13, 2014 at 03:39 #464787Champion Hurdle – Annie Power 2pt win @ 10/1 (W Hill)
