@RedRum
As we said in the Lounge Neil bet your mum would be chuffed you see you leading this comp up to Christmas
Now you have to stay there and win Gord’s £50 generous offer. Well done for great start and of course thinking of you at this sad time..JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 17, 2019 at 17:41 #1475233Another good day for Rummy, as Defi Du Seuil stretches his lead at the top.
Highflyer, who had both Defi and Battleoverdoyen, bursts out of the pack into second.
Well done everyone on that pair, as there were a few of you.
I finally got up and running, thanks to Midnight Run at Cork.
November 17, 2019 at 17:51 #1475239Just caught up with today’s racing. First seemed like a very good day for us in half of them races. I’m glad you’re off the mark, Bobby. You most of all deserve it .Second my horse won but, apart from me, know that’s good news for a few as I’m not the only participant to include him in their ten. Hard luck to those with Politologue in their list especially those who starred him, however we all know it’s swings and roundabouts. Same goes for Inthestream who had today’s runner in the Bonus race.
Only 2 bonus races gone and nobody has benefited, yet. Next bonus is next week and it’s all to play for. Good luck everybody.
Hi Jac thanks for the support. Mum apart from National never bet and then it’s a quid each way but with the National it was the occasion, not the money that counted. I like to think that it wasn’t the gambling part which she approved of, but support for her son. In the early 80’s as a young man I betted outside my means backing anything and usually walking home broke and a bit depressed. Those days helped me more than I know at the time, it taught me that nothing is guarantee and to only bet money that I won’t miss. Dad use to bet, but never over did it, although I can’t confirm this we never went short money wise. However he grew out of love with the game well before his death. I can’t I’m hooked on it, it’s my only pleasure in life and I really enjoy racing for the entertainment only. Although getting a few quid for your pleasure is a bonus . Now with the internet it opens my world to you lovely people and that’s one good thing about it.
Really liked Ginger’s version of ten to follow, I’d get into a muddle organising a competition but like competing, but my love lies with the National Hunt in especially staying chasers. Speaking of ten to follow may enter the original version next week, if they allow a team effort then I would be honoured to be included if one is set up here. Will keep reading this forum in the meantime and be entertained by some people’s comments.

Keep bashing in those winners and cheer home Bristol De Mai for me next week in the Bonus race he’s my star horse and love him to bits
I ll be in residence behind the sofa hoping he comes home safe win or lose. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 18, 2019 at 22:32 #1475327with the internet it opens my world to you lovely people and that’s one good thing about it.
So true Neil and it adds an extra dimension to the races, when I watch a horse win like brave little Defi getting out of the pocket and blasting up the hill past the bigger horses it’s an extra little kick if you know someone on here has been talking up their case on the big races thread or has him in their TTF.
Well done on him and Saldier and enjoy the view fron the top of leaderboard. Sorry to hear about your mum. Strength to you for the next few weeks and months. It’s tough isn’t it. The Grand National was always a big thing in our house but I don’t know if I will get to watch another one with my mum. Watched some of Cheltenham with her yesterday in the palliative care ward where she was moved to last week. Her telly hadn’t been working and she got the hospital repairman who fixed it to be sure that ITV and ITV4 were tuned in OK. (She switched it off when the minister hove into sight for a pastoral care visit, not sure the church approves of racing on a Sunday, luckily we discovered after that ITV4+1 also working ).
Roll on next weekend and more TTF points at stake, I don’t have Jac’s darling Bristol de Mai in my ten but will cheer him on anyway
November 19, 2019 at 19:40 #1475374Thanks Green, yer when Dad was alive and National came round, she always ask for his advice and whether to go win or each way. Been in 1989 when someone at work organised a trip there and me and my brother enjoyed ourselves in the Grandstand, got to see my equine hero (well one of them, I’m talking of Red Rum the other being “Fred” that’s Dessie to you ). However backing winners was fruitless that day.
Which included the current Champion Hurdle winner Beech Road backed at 50/1 and provided me with some spending money for the trip.

But you can give them to the birds and bees.November 22, 2019 at 20:34 #1475538Tomorrow we have bonus race number 3 and with 2 stars horses amongst the entries (let’s not forget Frodon)
If any of us have the winner here, then those benefiting from that will be odds on to win the comp.
So good luck everyone, esp Jac .

But you can give them to the birds and bees.November 23, 2019 at 15:57 #1475656Thanks Neil..What a great race between BDM and Lostintranslation. Well deserved win for the Taylor’s horse in memory of their little boy, very emotional story and what a horse they have.
All horses home safely is the best result and BDM will be back.
Well done to all with winners today. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 23, 2019 at 17:10 #1475669Too many winners to mention everyone today, as points flying about all over the place, but what a day it was.
Lostintranslation was our first Bonus Race Winner this season, scoring double for Steve, Lemons, Rummy, and John.
Bristol De Mai scored for loads of you as well with the runner up spot, and no surprise to say that Jac has him her as star horse, so scores double.
Cyrname was ultra impressive, scoring for loads of you, and looks a dynamite star horse for Canford and Hot Fuss.
Former TTF Winner, Fair Along, has a nice bonus horse with If The Cap Fits, but the bad news for everyone else, is that Rummy has him too.
With so much hype on the racing at Ascot, and Haydock, it was easy to miss the big performances at Gowran Park.
Getabird is a very promising sort for Autumnal, while Laurina, who wasn’t as popular in this as I thought she’d be, scored for Goodfellow and Tibbs, and rounded off a nice day for Canford.
Nobody had a better day than Neil though, and very nice to see, and a minuscule consolation after a difficult week for him.
Bristol De Mai 12
Cyrname 27.9
Getabird 13.4
If The Cap Fits 28.6
Laurina 13.2
Lostintranslation 51.9November 23, 2019 at 21:38 #1475690Thanks for the quick update VTC! Congratulations to the big point scorers – some good horses picked! Well done Neil for continuing to lead the field.
November 24, 2019 at 00:18 #1475730Now comes the hard part, holding on while not scoring.
Anyway I sure Bobby will confirm this but by my reckoning we are now all on the scoreboard, so well done everyone

But you can give them to the birds and bees.November 24, 2019 at 16:13 #1475800Bloodless winner for Autumnal today, but still a nice return for the comp with Fury Road.
Later on the card, Bigbadandbeautiful did the business for me, and she’s looking like a nice prospect.
Bigbadandbeautiful 17.1
Fury Road 23.1November 25, 2019 at 17:19 #1475876It doesn’t happen very often, but a winner two days in a row for me, as Master Tommytucker dug it out at Kempton.
Master Tommytucker 14.7
November 27, 2019 at 23:25 #1476010Ribble Valley does the business again for Rob, and it’s already looking like a very nice pick.
Ribble Valley 12.6
November 28, 2019 at 19:04 #1476043I’m leaving it till the last minute to submit my Tote / Racing Post TTF entries. Some last minute changes required, what with Kemboy now sorted (sorry Presenting Percy) and based on Segal’s faith in Now McGinty, out goes Discorama !
Is anyone else entering? Might be worth setting up a TRF league ??
November 28, 2019 at 21:08 #1476048Hello to everyone
There is now an option on Tote Ten To Follow website for Private Leagues.
Like Inthestream I am waiting for results from Newbury on Friday before
making my entries. Not sure about how to go about setting up Private League, but if someone
else who knows more about it I would join. Would need some rules I suspect.Never thought that this competition would return and am pleased to see the
option of One Free Entry, like the TRF Competition.Thank You
November 28, 2019 at 23:04 #1476055Hi John and Inthestream, if you check on the Horse Racing Section you will get all the
info you need to join the TRF league in the Tote Competition. As for hanging on to the
last minute, I recall when the Ten To Follow was on before that their site became so busy
on the last day that it was seriously slow with many who held off until late on. The rules
state ……..If we are notified of a deceased or injured runner in the period where the Ten to Follow competition is open for entries (between 18 & 30 November) we will replace the deceased horse in the list and allocate that new horse to each of the stables who’ve chosen the deceased runner.
Hope to see you there
