Sorry guys, just a quick update tonight. Well played all winners, especially those who had Star Horses winning, and as you can see, it is as tight as a hell at the top.
Bristol De Mai 12.00
Finians Oscar 28.40
Kemboy 22.10
L’Ami Serge 55.90
Might Bite 51.60
Supasundae 12.00
We Have A Dream 27.7April 13, 2018 at 18:49 #1350159Only one winner today, but a significant one, as Buckers double points on Politolgue, was enough to send him back to the top. Fran also benefitted from the double up, and he also scored for Diamond Geezer, and Viktors.
Politologue 36.7
April 25, 2018 at 02:21 #1351861Gumball kicked things off today, scoring for Chestnut, Diamond Geezer, and Grey Desire, at Exeter.
Plenty of you scoring today with Un De Sceaux, including Ponti who has him as star horse, but it was a very big result for Buckers, who stretches his lead at the top.
Buckers looks hard to catch, but there’s still plenty can change, and he can be caught, with 3 Bonus Races up for grabs, and loads of horses running for those in the chasing pack.
Gumball 11.20
Un De Sceaux 29.3April 25, 2018 at 18:08 #1351935I think I needed Road To Respect there to have any hope of catching Buckers.
April 27, 2018 at 03:04 #1352141Yeah Corm, you could have been doing with him, but a fine late effort from you, and to think I tried to talk you out of Native River, and Penhill at the start of the comp. Could have been a nervous last few days for me, if you had listened to me lol.
Guys, apologies for the delay in posting yesterdays results, especially at this crucial stage, but the IT issue floored me. Thankfully back up and running now.
I think I can call it now, but I’ll do it properly, and wait for the final day. Buckers can still mathematically be caught, but I think if I’m correct, Altior or Buveur D’Air would have to start at very big SP’s on Saturday.
Well done to Autumnal on his Bonus Race win with Bellshill on Wednesday, and several of you had Djakadam for the runner up points, including Tibbs, who’s had a blinder of a debut in this.
Faugheen was a big winner for loads of you, as was Footpad.
Bellshill 54.50
Djakadam 12
Faugheen 31.10
Footpad 26.20April 27, 2018 at 23:37 #1352271Been a great week for Autumnal, and he scored today, courtesy of his sub horse, Kemboy, while Supasundae, who won the bonus race, has been a great sub for Botchy.
Kemboy 28.60
Supsasundae 57April 28, 2018 at 21:15 #1352466Well, that’s it done and dusted.
First of all, todays winners.
Altior 26.10
Benie Des Dieux 28.10

Top Notch 26.6Well done everyone with winners today, and that brings us on to the Final Scores. It’s been a fair old tussle, and has been tight all the way, and it’s been great to see the lead change hands several times.

Gumball 11.2So we can now crown our new winner, and I can be the first to say very well played Buckers, an outstanding performance, and the choice of Politologue as star horse, was an inspired one. Very well done again, you were up there the whole way, and I’ll be in touch to get you your dough mate.
Very, very unlucky was Roosterbooster, who’s clearly the man for this competition, having won it before. What a finish. I’ll be in touch mate, an excellent score.
In third we have the boss (Cormack15), who came from absolutely nowhere, and by just missing out in third, we’ve avoided any accusations of “fix” lol. To think I tried to talk you out of Native River, and Penhill.
Some great scores in behind too, with an outstanding debut from Tibbsburge, and as per, Goodfellow is near the top in a TRF Competition. He’s a model of consistency.
Well played everyone else, it’s not easy, second guessing in October, who’re going to be the stars, but there were some inspired picks.
Now for the thanks.
It wouldn’t be The Final of Ten To Follow, without me thanking Lee (Aaronizneez). I’m slowly getting the hand of the spreadsheet, but he still gets the odd desperate E-Mail from me, and he has the patience of a saint. Thanks again Lee, I’d have chucked this after the first year without your help.
Once again, thanks to everyone who contributed to the prize fund, and it is greatly appreciated. I cannot believe we broke the £700 mark this year, namely……
BigG
Botchy1
Cav
Dactylographer
Fantastic Fair Along
FrankieMac
Inthestream
Nenni
Red Rum 77
Pat123
Peejayuk
The Ante-Post King
Triptych
I hope I’ve not missed anyone there. Guys, it’s greatly appreciated, and I can’t thank you enough.
I’ve really enjoyed it again this year, a proper battle, but like every other year, I’m very much looking forward to the break, and looking forward to getting the feet up.
Thanks all, and well done winners.
April 29, 2018 at 00:21 #1352480Many thanks Bobby for organising this, and well done Buckers ! Hope to be back again in October !
April 29, 2018 at 00:52 #1352483Congratulations Buckers, you were a deserved winner, and well done also to Rooster and Cormack.
I got excited for a good spell, but I just didn’t have the stamina.
Bobby, many thanks for this, it’s a great competition, I really enjoyed it, and I am already looking forward to the next one.
April 29, 2018 at 10:34 #1352513Well done Buckers,
think we knew it was all over when Politologue romped home at 11/1
You had some great picks there and your subs were perfectly timed. What a great late run from Roosterbooster with Altior as his star horse on the last day a worthy runner up and Cormack in 3rd place. well done all.
I’m really chuffed to have ended up in 8th position and to have led the competition into the pre Cheltenham months of 2018 and I’ve learnt a lot about needing one or two special dark horses in your team.
Big thank you to Bobby as always for all his hard work along with Aeronizneez, I honestly don’t know where you find the energy to do this marathon competition but glad you do, put your feet up and enjoy the rest you two.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 29, 2018 at 10:54 #1352516Well done Buckers and good effort for those in behind
Tremendous work Vtc, thank you very much for your efforts
back to the drawing board for meGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 29, 2018 at 21:48 #1352588Congratulations Buckers, you were a worthy winnner, well done. I can’t believe I made the top ten in this, which is a feat that I am unlikely to repeat.
As Nathan said, tremendous work VtC, it’s clearly a labour of love for you, and it’s a smashing competition. It gives me a bit of interest during the winter months, so many thanks for you hard work.
April 30, 2018 at 10:44 #1352614Well done Buckers, and all those that beat me…, OK everybody!
Thanks once again to Venture To Cognac for organising the competition. It can’t be an easy task but things seem to run so smoothly.
The wheels came off for me in the latter stages. The aim with my northern list is to avoid bottom place but Autumnal ‘stayed on well past a beaten rival’ to condemn me to bottom place and relegation to the Lowland League or wherever! Too many of my selections ran into problems over the season and didn’t score although Beyond The Clouds, Big River, Planet Nine and Waiting Patiently did nicely for me, just a disappointment that the latter (a truly exciting animal) picked up an injury late on. Waiting Patiently has done me proud, unbeaten in two seasons on my list, and is a fine memorial to the late Malcolm Jefferson. Ascot Chase day was memorable and poignant.
I shall start beavering away to find a few quiet ones to throw into battle for next season!

April 30, 2018 at 11:45 #1352617Well done Buckers and all other prize winners and prize donors, and a big thank you to VTC for running the competition, I think I have a good idea of how much time and effort it takes as I run one on another forum.Time for a rest and to enjoy the Summer Bud.
April 30, 2018 at 12:43 #1352622Well done Buckers, superb choices. Thanks VtC for organising it…all those lists must drive you demented. And the donors for making up a nuce chunky prize
Looking forward to next season already!April 30, 2018 at 13:16 #1352627Hats off to you Buckers, a worthy winner and that was a very impressive score.
A great run by Roosterbooster and Cormack to take the other 2 podium places,
very well done gents
A huge thanks to Bobby for running this again, and to Aaronizneez for his work
behind the scenes. I’m sure this puts years on you every year Bob, it probably
makes you about 136 now
I thought I was doing quite well at one time, second behind Triptych at one point,
and then my stable just fell off the world….most had sick lines. As has already been said Bob, put your feet up, because you know you have to do it
all over again just a few months down the line
April 30, 2018 at 16:44 #1352649Well done Buckers – superb stuff.
Thanks VTC for sorting it. My favourite comp.
