Some big scores today, and the win of Shiskin sees Jeff extend his lead at the top. Loads of you with Constitution Hill, and Ahoy Senor, but only Jeff, Kris, and Aaron still with the Henderson star. Kris comes from nowhere into fifth, while Aaron had a big day, and was the biggest scorer, courtesy of Constitution Hill, Ahoy Senor, and Shiskin. Well played Aaron
Autumnal scores with Sharjah, I scored with Banbridge, and TYT scores with Dysart Enos, which was a great spot. Well done TYT, love picks like that
Ahoy Senor 12
Banbridge 28
Constitution Hill 51.14
Dysart Enos 27.5
Sharjah 12
Shishkin 52.75April 14, 2023 at 16:21 #1643567Massive result for Buckers and Roses with Pic D’Ohry winning, and it puts them bang there. Buckers is the reigning champ, and he surely can’t do it again, can he? Well played guys, great pick
Fakir D’Oudairies 12
Pic D’ohry 55April 17, 2023 at 00:04 #1644195Huge win for Lemons with Corach Rambler, and it puts him second, and also a smashing pick for Corm and Marlingford
Loads of you with Jonbon too, including all the leaders
Corach Rambler 59
Jonbon 26.19April 23, 2023 at 12:49 #1645125Smashing pick for Peter and Flyers as Kitty’s Light gets another good haul. Well done guys
Kitty’s Light 55
April 25, 2023 at 21:53 #1645428Loads of you with the Energumene/Facile Vega double, scoring 77.7 points. Most importantly, it edges Tommy into second, just ahead of Lemons, and we’re in for another nailbiter, which I’m delighted about.
Good luck all those in the running
Energumene 51.1
Facile Vega 26.6April 26, 2023 at 22:18 #1645572No changes at the top, and Nathan continues to have a great pick with Gaelic Warrior
Gaelic Warrior 26.5
Galopin Des Champs 12April 27, 2023 at 19:08 #1645728Kris and TYT the only two surprisingly with Klassical Dream, and they get a nice score, while Autumnal who was the only one brave enough to take Asterion Forlonges got the bonus points.
El Fabiolo a lovely horse, and scores for a good few of you.
Asterion Forlonges 12
El Fabiolo 26.10
Klassical Dream 53.2April 28, 2023 at 22:39 #1645968All over bar the shouting, but I’ll wrap it up officially tomorrow.
State Man became top scorer, with another excellent run, while Vauban chased him home. Plenty of you scoring, with Grass and Nathan getting the double
State Man 51.2
Vauban 12April 29, 2023 at 20:48 #1646138Todays winners……
Jonbon 26.62
Kitty’s Light 53.75
Lossiemouth 26.2All over then, and some brilliant scores in there.
Delighted that it came down to the wire yet again, and very well done to Jeff, who wins with an unbelievable score. Commiserations to Tommy, who had a team that would’ve won most other years.
Great effort back in third from Lemons, and all those in the top ten.
£400 for Jeff, who had kindly donated his third place prize from last year to this years fund, so great to see him win it back.
£100 for Tommy. Was going to be £80 for second, and £20 for third, but Lemons is is working in the Far East just now, so I’ll sort something out with him when he gets back, and boost up second place to £100.
On the subject of prize money, I can’t thank enough all those who donated, and it’s just greatly appreciated. Just short of £500 this year, which is unreal, so I rounded it up to make it a nice even £500
Many many thanks to…………
All Jeff
BigG
Bladeblaster
Buckers
Dactylographer
Flyers Nap
Gladiateur
Greenasgrass
Inthestream
John Gooch
Nathan Hughes
The Antepost King
and again, John Gooch
John Gooch gets two mentions, as I missed him out last year when he donated. Thanks guys
Lots of nice dark ones this year, and I loved the lists that weren’t in it to win it, but big shout to Goodfellow, MarkTT, and Thehorsesmouth, who were the only three to show faith in State Man at first attempt, and Flyers and Peter with that unreal Kitty’s Light selection
I hope you all enjoyed it, and thanks to everyone for taking part, and my annual thanks to Aaronizneez for the spreadsheet, which I broke again this year.
Hopefully be back for more in October, thanks all

Thank you Vtc for running this one.. I thought I had half a chance at half timeBlackbeard to conquer the World
April 30, 2023 at 21:11 #1646219I was in the same boat Nathan, and it’s definitely the best that I’ve done in this.
Well done All Jeff, that was an incredible effort, and it was a very good list from THM too.
Much kudos to VtC for running this, it’s a great competition and thanks once again for running it
April 30, 2023 at 21:22 #1646220Well done All Jeff and good efforts from Thehorsesmouth and Lemons68
Thanks VtC for the mammoth effort in overseeing this competition thoroughout the season. My apologies for not contributing to the prize money, I’ll put in a bit extra next season to make up for it.
My team didn’t quite fire on all cylinders though still managed some nice winners. I knew my luck wasn’t in when Ahoy Senor, up to then putting in an excellent round of jumping, clattered one in the Gold Cup and brought down my other runner Sounds Russian! The North notebook does have a few likely ones ringed for next season.
Another bottom place could result in me automatically keeping the Wooden Spoon. Maybe even a Golden Wooden Spoon? I can supply the gold spray paint…
April 30, 2023 at 21:31 #1646222Brilliant stuff Jeff and well done THM and Lemons. Thanks for the comp and all the updates VtC. See you all at the start of November
April 30, 2023 at 22:24 #1646226Well done to the winners – some amazing scores.
Huge thanks to VtC for running this competition, I have really enjoyed it.
May 1, 2023 at 07:45 #1646233Hello to everyone
First of all many thanks to Bobby for running this competition once more.
The idea of just one entry per person and being able to chose any horse in
training is spot on.Some of the scores of the leading teams have been quite amazing and make one
realize how much knowledge you need to make the top ten of entries. So well
done to the winners.Many Thanks
May 2, 2023 at 00:27 #1646301Well done All Jeff a brilliant win and so close between Thehorsesmouth and Lemons in 2nd and 3rd.
In fact it was tight all the way down the lists with some terrific stables chosen. Thanks to Bobby for running this again so brilliantly and not forgetting Aaronizneez who I”m sure would get more thanks if we could only spell his name. Great job keeping all those scores (and us) in order..
I’m off to enjoy the flat season now, but look forward to coming back next November to do it all again.
Thanks Bobby JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 2, 2023 at 02:54 #1646304Well done All Jeff. Thanks for running with all the updates VTC.
