Ugly Mare

SORRY.

April 15, 2010 at 06:32 #290360If you look on the Greyhound Section, Nathan, you might wish to congratulate Ugly Mare’s dog for bringing the bacon home at Yarmouth last night. I doubt whether its odds were as big as yours in the Daylight Cup though. What are you – 200/1 and lengthening by the day?
Cheers
KApril 15, 2010 at 07:38 #290364Q20 – What do these three TRF members have in common – Ted, Aaronizneez and Bob Rolf?
They have all won the Daylight cup. Nathan Hughes despite being the unfancied fragile underdog at odds of 200/1 and drifting is hoping to add his name to that fine list.

Now where did i leave my pills.

April 15, 2010 at 08:26 #290368Splendid questions (Nafsasp’s this time, weren’t they?) – nice work! Hope there was a good turnout last night – work sadly prevented me from joining in.
A few answers leap out at me straight away, he said, teeing himself up for a fall;
Q7 – Which course first staged racing in 1859, is left handed and also stages Point to Point meetings?
Bangor-on-Dee – think their website made great play of the course celebrating its ton-fifty last year.
Q10 – Name the missing horse in this sequence; Ziggy Zen, Canadian Storm, Beechwood, ———–, Treaty Flyer – and for a bonus point – What is the sequence?
Pepporoni Pete. This is a list of the horses to have won the first race of the new jumps season, the Ludlow Golf Club Claiming Hurdle (at Ludlow, astonishingly), on the last Sunday of April since 2005.
Q18 – Where was the final fence changed from being an Open Ditch to a Plain Fence which used to be a Water Jump, in 1994?
Sedgefield.
Q20 – What do these three TRF members have in common – Ted, Aaronizneez and Bob Rolf?
Are they late substitutes for the party leaders’ debate on ITV this evening?

Is that not the now famous Mr Anthony Knott, after winning his first ever race, at Wincanton.
I remember his riding style, was like something out of a Western movie.
April 15, 2010 at 08:45 #290371Tis him. And the gelding was Wise Men Say.

Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
April 15, 2010 at 15:06 #290435Gosh, I don’t remember Dancing Brave running in the Craven, but I DO remember Green Desert running in the Free H’cap.
April 15, 2010 at 15:24 #290443Q9 – Which racecourse’s logo features a stylised red horse, galloping and looking up into the sky?
Well, the four legendary red horses are Phar Lap, Man O’War, Secretariat and New Approach, but the only racecourses I could think linked were Flemington and Belmont, and its not either of them.
