Steve’s thinking up a good one here.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 31, 2014 at 21:33 #500016The Alan King trained Ned Stark runs in the 1.20 at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day.
Why would it be appropriate if he was to lose the race by a head?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
December 31, 2014 at 22:53 #500025Was he a character on Robin Hood and did little Jon chop his head off?

I don’t think there was a Ned Stark in Robin Hood Nathan. I didn’t actually notice Little Jon was in that race as well, until he fell.
I’ll give you that as an answer though, because Ned Stark
did
get his head cut off. He was a character in Game Of Thrones, played by Sean Bean, and he was beheaded at the end of series one.
I gave up on watching the series because of the amount of gratuitous nudity and foul language. There wasn’t enough of it
Bean should have been Ned Starkers!
Over to you for a more horse oriented question Nathan.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
January 3, 2015 at 12:48 #500296Which horse running today 3.1.2015 was once 2nd to Canford Cliffs?
Blackbeard to conquer the World
January 3, 2015 at 15:31 #500313If no-one has it by tonight I’ll set a new question.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
January 4, 2015 at 17:13 #500397Would it be Rakaan Nathan
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 4, 2015 at 17:16 #500398Yes it was Jac, well done.
He ran well yesterday and would of gone close if not blowing the start.
Over to you Jac……Blackbeard to conquer the World
January 4, 2015 at 23:17 #500424I remember as a 2yo he used to be trained by Brian Meehan, saw him run a couple of times at Newmarket and he seems to have made a career out of running 2nd
Here goes with a question, will give some clues later if needed…
Question:
From the year 2000…
which English and Irish 2,000 Guineas winner was beaten by two fillies..once in Ireland when odds on as a 2yo by a 33/1 shot and then as a 3yo in France and can you name the fillies?Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 5, 2015 at 10:01 #500440Now that’s what you call a proper question.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
January 5, 2015 at 10:37 #500446Took me ages to think it up Nathan, I was helped by a picture I have of one of the winning fillies, my friend visited her trainer in Ireland and he signed it for me…there’s the first clue
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 6, 2015 at 09:56 #500531So would it be Harrington then that trained one of the fillies?

January 6, 2015 at 19:40 #500583So the Irish horse didn’t have a female trainer then.
Must learn to read with my eyes open……Blackbeard to conquer the World

Well done rob, over to you for the next question.
No female trainer for Saoirse Nathan, it was Jim Bolger.
Her name translates to something like Freedom Forever, I think she is a brood mare for Godolphin now and her best progeny so far is Ennistown by Authorized.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 14, 2015 at 19:52 #501511Hi everyone
Apologies for not posting a question yet, but we’ve been concerned about a terminally ill relative in the last few days which rather detracts from more trifling matters.
I’ll set a question at the weekend.
Rob
January 15, 2015 at 14:44 #501577Best wishes to the family Rob.
