March 18, 2016 at 19:48 #1238817Very well done to Dessie73 who has won this years competition. A great score on day 2 set him up nicely and he just got the better of runner up Hot Fuss by 5 points, neither scored points in the last two races so it was Dessie napping On The Fringe over Hot Fuss who also had the selection but not napped making a 8 point swing and Dessie taking the lead and staying there. Raymo won the cakes after top scoring today with a mammoth 128 points on the day mainly thanks to napping Solar Impulse at 28/1 for 80 pts also napped by Diamond Geezer, well done chaps. Aintree next month and we go again…..

March 18, 2016 at 20:46 #1238825Well done to Dessie73 hope you might come and play in the Saturday comp sometime, with great scores like that it’ll keep us all on our toes.
Great overall scores for this comp and what a close finish between Des, Hot Fuss and Nathan (himself).
Thanks for doing this Nathan…go and put your feet up now..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 18, 2016 at 20:51 #1238826Absolutely chuffed, great 4 days of racing, and a great competition. Well done all
March 18, 2016 at 21:02 #1238831Top job Dessie

And Nath as always fabulous comp!!

Think I will have a strawberry cream scone!!
March 18, 2016 at 23:31 #1238877That was tight at the top, well done to Dessie, Hot Fuss and Nathan
for fighting it out, but Dessie keeps a stright line in the home
straight and wins by a nose
Not that it matters a fig in the grand scheme of things, but I think Nathan
that my final days score is 64, Unowhatimeanharry winner and nap 44pts,
Paint The Clouds 2nd at 9/2 6 points, Don Cossack winner 9/4 14 pts, I’m
very picky I’ll have you know
That aside, just had the best day ever at Cheltenham. Sternrubin e/w 33s
(3rd) in the Vincent o’brien (thought he looked impressive in the padock),
Don Cossack in the GC…could you not hear me from there?, and my nap of the
day I had at 12/1, Unowhatimeanharry. If I hadn’t a single winner I would have
loved it, but it’s nice to have the icing on the cake. Return visit to be
arranged for next year, god willing
March 18, 2016 at 23:44 #1238882Hi BigG,
Good to read you had a great day.
I missed your nap, rushing.
Was MR MERCURIAL a non runner then, does not say on sporting life non runners when I check?
have score you for Paint the Clouds now anyway.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 18, 2016 at 23:48 #12388831.30 SCEAU ROYAL (Zubayr)
2.10 MONTBAZON (Dicosimo)
2.50 UNOWHATIMEANHARRY (nap) (Barters Hill)
3.30 DON COSSACK + O’FAOLAiNS BOY (Cue Card/Smad Place)
4.10 MR MERCURIAL (Paint The Clouds)
4.50 CHILDRENS LIST (Squouateur)
5.30 PEARLS LEGEND (Eastlake)
Just checked the result and Mr Mecurial did run so knocking 6 back off.
Reckon you enjoyed your day too much and had a celebratory drink with all those winnings.
Either that or you forgot, I was cheering on Solar Impulse as I thought I had him in the Telegraph Cheltenham comp but when I checked I hadn’t….

March 19, 2016 at 00:12 #1238893D’OH !! sorry about the Paint The Clouds part, I’ve still got too much
adrenaline running through my veins (and a few sherbets to boot), but at
least I got the Unowhatimeanharry bit right.Brilliant competition Nathan, thanks for that
March 19, 2016 at 00:17 #1238897I’m always happy to check peoples scores.
If I make a mistake I can assure it’s never deliberate, usually due to tiredness or tending to my Son or counting my fingers wrong or too quickly.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 19, 2016 at 08:35 #1238940Looking forward to the Aintree competition already, thanks for all the nice comments, there is some great tipping on here, and thanks for all the hard work organising, deeply appreciated.
Hope to join the Saturday comp and others in due course.
PS..was a prize decided on?
Happy punting today…surely Ruby’s decision to go to Kempton and ride Townshend should be noted, the 4th last time out was fracked by the 3rd winning goal at the Festival.
March 19, 2016 at 09:19 #1238945Thanks Nathan and well done to the winners
March 19, 2016 at 09:36 #1238951Congrats to Dessie, Top tipping…
