Thread of the year –Will have a think about some of the others
Most of my nominations have been covered already, but for thread of the year I would like to nominate True or False Quiz from the Lounge. It was really interesting learning more about some of the forum regulars, and seeing how ingenious people were in listing truths and lies about themselves.
Ian Davies no longer posts on this forum, but I should give him a mention for being the originator of the thread.
Jumps horse of the year – I know I’d be the only vote for him but Snap Decision was an absolute star this season
Villain of the year – Nicky Henderson for timidity in running his horses, even by modern training standardsIt is no criticism of anyone but it says something about the state of racing how Villain Of The Year always receives lots of nominations.
There are some very good ones this year!
Broadcaster of the year – Megan Nicholls.
Journalist of the year – David Jennings.The more I know the less I understand.

Great choice, Marlingford. That was a very fun and entertaining thread, just forgot about it. I also think that Ian deserves a positive mention for initiating it.

I’ve been neglectful and only spotted this thread this morning.
Firstly I’m shocked and also deeply honoured that Jac has nominated
me as Poster Of The Year. One vote will do for me
Cormack has already nominated Jac for the same, much more worthy
and does me out of that one. But it’s the Thread of the year I
want to raise.Thread Of The Year – Meydan Thursdays. This “thread” if you want call it, was
started many years ago by Jac (Triptych) as a 3 week Competition in Meydan.
What it has turned into is an all year, every year, where people meet, discuss
horses and everything from happy times to those not so. It’s a place where anyone
can come and be welcome. It’s in a way a home to many who at times need it. As
I said on the thread, it’s the most important thread to ever have crossed TRF’s
doorstep.I’ll get round to the rest shortly Nathan
