March 23, 2010 at 19:51 #285141I love L’Aventure the mardy old moo, glad to hear she has been retired on a high after her performance at the weekend at Uttoxeter. I hope she has a long and happy retirement.
March 23, 2010 at 19:52 #285143i know, she ran great on saturday
March 23, 2010 at 19:56 #285144What a pity she didn’t go out on a win. It’s like she’s been around forever. I look forward to seeing her progeny. Did she ever fall during her career? I’ve got a feeling she didn’t..wonder how many fences she’s jumped over the years?
March 23, 2010 at 19:59 #285145Hope they both have a long retirement and in the case of L’aventure that we get to see some future 4 mile winning foals!
March 23, 2010 at 20:13 #285153awwww I wish them both a long and happy retirement. I was gutted L’Aventure didn’t win at the weekend, but it’s nice to know her owners aren’t going to keep pushing her. Lots of happy memories of both of them.
March 23, 2010 at 20:15 #285155The Gold Cup at Haydock and the Welsh National wont be the same anymore.
I will miss seeing her being tailed off halfway down the back straight on the second circuit only to pick up and stay on up the home straight to get 2nd-5th.
Hope she produces lots of good staying chasers. Love to see Yeats be her first.
March 23, 2010 at 20:23 #285158i now, she seems to have been around racing forever, never gave in always tried her best

March 24, 2010 at 16:10 #285322Credit to Nick Williams and his team for getting her almost back to her best this season. She’s probably been as consistent this year as she’s ever been.
As for Trabolgan, he broke my heart when he won his Sun Allaince as I was on Comply or Die big time. And he never got near the credit for his Hennessy win that he deserved.March 24, 2010 at 18:59 #285382Trabolgan was a very very profitable horse for me, but the great pity is that he never reached the heights he should have. He would have definately developed into a genuine GC contender of course

Although J’y Vole did her sex proud in the Ryanair at Cheltenham last week, there seems to be a singular paucity of good jumping mares at the moment.
I wonder
why
