On your recommendation I’ve stuck him in a "fun" yankee kicking off with stable companion Muirhead in the Red Mills
Ronaldo Des Mottes was probably in front for too long but the winner appeared to have an absolute ton in hand. No surprise if he is the best of our novices. I would have him well above Menorah.

Thanks, 16/1 & 14/1 – they were my first bets of the year on 22 January. After last year I made it a policy to try and avoid backing when the ground was generally heavy.
A one-two in a race like this is something you pretty much know won’t happen again.
