Jay Trump died in 1988, age 31. He spent his retirement at Meshewa Farm in Ohio and he was buried at the finish line of the steeplechase course at Kentucky Horse Park, now called the Jay Trump course.

March 15, 2013 at 20:06 #433032Very saddened to have read of Tommy’s awful accident only for another terrible accident to happen at Cheltenham yesterday. But good to know that Jay Trump had a long and happy retirement.
