Today’s Racing Post Front Cover

I didn’t think they could top the ‘Paul Nicholls Postcard From Dubai’ cover from a few weeks back but it appesrs they can and then some!

For those of you who haven’t seen it, it’s the heads of Paul Nicholls and David Pipe superimposed onto football managers’ bodies. Complete with ‘PN’ and ‘DP’ initials on them just in case you’d have any trouble telling them apart.

Have they just got a work experience kid in who’s only just discovered the wonders of Photoshop?!
It looks so horrendously cheap and amateurish..

Their covers (speaking as someone who makes her money as a photo layout editor I might add!) are always shockingly poor, amateurish, cringeworthily tacky and generally just totally crap.

I recall years back when they would come up with some half decent ones putting, say, all the main contenders for a big race on the front as if they had raced one another before (I think the Dubai Millennium / Montjeu match race that never happened was one of them) – at least they were relevant and not some cheesy god-awful concept idea.

The one that had me in fits for ages was Hen Knight and Best Mate in some kind of Lord of the Rings set up, complete with Terry Biddlecome lying on a bale of hay or something, laughing manically like some deranged Hobbit character whilst chewing on a bit of hay. Now that was hilarious.

PS All these Paul Nicholls based covers this season are really starting to do my head in….

That is truly frightening. I doubt Fitzy and Choc would have been pleased with that subs bench cover.
