Both lost at Huntingdon today. Tiny Tenor pulled up 2 out, then collapsed with a heart attack in the 3.50pm race. Strongbows Legend fell 2 out and was fatally injured in the 4.50pm race.
RIP, both. <!– s:( –>
<!– s:( –>October 15, 2013 at 17:33 #454994The latter made even worse by the actions of the owner of the winner,Muldoon’s Picnic, who cheered the fall then proceeded to run round the racecourse like a moron with tourettes.
It’s bad enough when ignorant punters cheer a fallen horse, for an owner to do so is inexcusable – he deserves to be banned from racing for life but nothing will happen.
How would he feel if someone cheered a fatal fall of his horse?
October 15, 2013 at 23:46 #455029I was in a bar at Huntingdon racecourse when Strongbows Legend fell and one bloke cheered and did a mini-jig in celebration. Maybe this was the owner. It seemed like a particularly crass thing to do because the horse was lying helpless on the ground and obviously in a lot of trouble.
I wasn’t aware that Tiny Tenor had gone as well. Very sad.

So this owner, Clive Washbourn right? Did any commentators pick up on this or did you see it at the track?

Tiny Tenor’s demise was announced over the PA, the first time I’ve heard such an announcement in a long time.
Notebook – I had the misfortune of standing about ten feet away from him. His actions annoyed most of those who were around him. I believe he also "gatecrashed" RUK as part of his "celebrations"

Disgusted to hear anyone cheering any fall ….
