173!! Considering Azertyuiop was only 168 after he’d been beaten by Moscow Flyer the first time they met in the Tingle Creek and I find that figure astounding.

It’s chalk and cheese, but was Denman’s Hennessy run only worth a 3 lb higher rating than what Twist Magic achieved at the weekend?

    No, of course not.

I think this is all down to VPU being overrated, and the problems that will inevitably follow that.

I get the last 5 Tingle Creek winning performance as follows

    2003 – Moscow Flyer 173
    2004 – Moscow Flyer 175
    2005 – Kauto Star 161
    2006 – Kauto Star 174
    2007 – Twist Magic 162

If Twist Magic’s performance is anywhere near as good as MF’s two i’ll eat my Xmas party hat

well the first 3 home in the tingle creek would not have made the first 3 in the days of MF WC and azertyuiop . Twist magic wins 1 big race and suddenly he,s rated 5lbs better than Azertyuiop i don,t think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for VPU he won probably the weakest queen mother in years, the 2 mile chase division is no where near as strong as it was 3 years ago, the quality has switched to the 3 mile division…………………………. :D [/u][/b]

As much as like Twist Magic I have to agree. Hower he’s a totally differnet type of horse and in time he could be anything. He impressed me no end the way he dug in and got on with the job at hand. I think he has a big future ahead of him.

VPU was a good Arkle winner and a good horse (who wouldn’t want to own him?) but has always lacked that little bit extra that makes you a Moscow Flyer or an Azie.

TM a knocking bet for the Queen Mother simply because he does have a touch of class and their is a sad lack of good opposition.
