This is a bit of a shot in the dark but worth a try as I know there is alot of us Irish on here.
Like most true blues who attend every match every year and get my tickets through my local club I have been left without a ticket for the final due to the sickening amount allocated to Dublin clubs by the GAA.
Knowing that every club in the country and other goveremnt, bank and politcial workers and so on get tickets for the final I am wondering if any fellow TRF’rs have gotten tickets that are from outside dublin and kerry and would be interested in selling them.
Would love hill tickets but anything would do. Will pay a good price for them. PM me if anyone can help.
Cheers!!

September 15, 2011 at 21:10 #371059Never mind got all the tickets I wanted in the end!! Its not what you know its who you know!!

See some stand tickets are going for up to 400 euro each on ebay and hill tickets for 250-300!! Madness!! Got mine through the official line anyway , paying face value is even a bit steep, 40 euro for the hill and 80 for stand.
Roll on Sunday, roll on Kerry!!
Come on you boys in blue!!

September 17, 2011 at 17:28 #371231There’ll still be plenty of tickets floating around town tomorrow as there usually is. There’ll be a heap of Kerrymen hoping to get rid outside the Gresham from noon onwards. Even though it is the ‘old firm’ final so to speak, the ticket scramble is nowhere near as bad as it was 10-15 years ago. Most families are priced out of it at €80 a pop.
Secured my ticket earlier today. Should be a great spectacle but I imagine the Dubs will be looking to do a Donegal on it to a certain extent because if they engage Kerry in a shootout there’ll only be one winner. Kerry have the edge in experience and class forwards. Dublin probably have the better defensive system and pace from 1-9. If Dublin are within a score with ten to go their younger legs might do it but I think the Kingdom will be closing it out by then. This is all new for the Dublin players whereas Kerry have seen it all before. That experience is massive and they will undoubtedly look to blitz Dublin in the first half like they did in 2009.
My prediction for what it’s worth: Kerry 1-14 Dublin 0-12
I called the hurling near enough so hopefully I’m on the money again!
