December 13, 2012 at 22:12 #422799Thanks gents
Exams went reasonably well and had far too much to drink last night, I’m as shook as a back of hens today
Great to see you back Nathan, hope you’re doing well

€10 win @ 6/5 (PP 2 place insurebet)December 18, 2012 at 11:47 #423383I see Boylesports have gone NRNB on the King George. With Sir Des Champs priced at 8/1 it’s time to lump I think they have the prices all wrong to be honest.

Sir Des Champs
€25 e/w @ 8/1 (Boyles NRNB)December 25, 2012 at 18:13 #424144What a day’s racing we have tomorrow: Kempton, Leopardstown, Limerick and Down Royal all have animals on show of interest to me. The biggest problem is going to be seeing it all!
D Royal 14.30 Fickle Fortune
This one ran well behind Un Atout last time out and was ahead of main rival Totally Couture. Has a favourite’s chance.
Lim 12.35 Umpact
Was very impressive last time out and I don’t particularly rate the opposition. Another with a favourite’s chance of winning.
Leop 12.20 Ned Buntline
The birds were singing in the trees about this horse but was somewhat disappointing last time out. However, if he’s half as good as he’s meant to be he should win. It’s not a bad race mind, with some decent horses in opposition.
Leop 12.50 Anonis
Was super impressive when winning a listed bumper at Cheltenham, and the form looks strong with The Liquidator finishing second. The Paparazzi Kid is the likely favourite but I think he was somewhat flattered to finish as close as he did to Moscow Mannon last time out.
Leop 13.20 Blood Cotil
Blew away the opposition on his debut on these shores and faces a decent horse in Our Conor. There might not be much between that one and Stocktons Wing, but Blood Cotil is taken to win for Rich Ricci.
Leop 13.50 Shariyan, Sammy Black
I’m really torn between these two here, and may well back both. Shariyan’s run in this race last year really took the biscuit and if the drop the handbrake he’ll win bar he bumps into another handicap snip, which may be Sammy Black. Glam Gerry was gambled off the board for Barry Connell at this meeting last year and I can see soemthing similar happening with this one.
Leop 14.55 Arvika Ligeonniere
I’ve joined Darren in backing this one for the Arkle and a win over Oscars Well tomorrow will be well received. Oscars Well is a strong traveller and he’ll be able keep tabs on him much better than Dedigout and co did in the Drinmore but I’d be worried about him jumping round to be honest. He jumped a few fences quite low last time out and he might not get away with that at Leopardstown.
Kem 12.50 River Maigue
Another good novice hurdle, this horse ran well behind Dodging Bullets last time (who I fancy for the Christmas Hurdle). Imo that form will be good enough to win this. 5/4 seems a fair price.
Kem 14.35 Dodging Bullets
I’ve just taken the 10/1 with Boylesports. I really fancy this one, as I think the Triumph Hurdle form is stronger than that of the Supreme. I’ll be disappointed if he can’t finish in the three.
Kem 15.10 Champion Court
Not sure if I’ll back this one but I do think 25/1 is a big price. He ran a nice race on his seasonal return and I’ll be delighted if he franks the Sir Des Champs form.

Waaheb
looks overpriced at 10/3. He was a top class bumper horse and won his maiden hurdle well, although his jumping will need to be slicker today. Jezki won the Royal Bond despite some sketchy jumps and is a worthy favorite although I’d have the two closer. Looks a very good race full of promising horses.
