Also, the last bet which said Kid Cassidy @ 4/1 was meant to be Alderwood. I’d already backed Kid Cassidy anyway, here’s a copy paste job from my BetVictor a/c. If people want photo evidence of the bet fair enough.

March 15, 2013 at 20:16 #433035After a quick tot-up, my p/l now stands at…
Great to be get my head back above water
March 16, 2013 at 20:51 #433241I can’t stress enough how much I fancy
Twigline
to regain the winning thread after her fall at Sandown last time out. She runs in the 3.25 at Limerick tomorrow. In my opinion she had Utopie Des Bordes’ measure that day, and she ran respectably in the Albert Bartlett yesterday. I can’t see any of this field capable of such form. Missunited is definitely the main danger, she beat the useful Zuska earlier in the season and ran well when 4th behind So Young last time. I said before her last run that Twigline could potentially be the next Quevega, if I’m right she’ll need to win tomorrow.
3.25 Limerick
Twigline
€56.91 win @ 8/11 (Paddy Power)+ €60
March 30, 2013 at 17:51 #434450What better way to took into the Easter eggs than putting the feet up in front of the fire with Fairyhouse and Cork on the telly.
The highlight of Cork’s seven race card is the Grade 3 Imperial Call Chase over 3 miles, and it will be very surprising if one of the market leaders fails to win. Roi Du Mee, Call The Police and Pandorama head the market and look miles clear of the rest. At the weights
PANDORAMA
comes out clear of those two rivals on official ratings but his troublesome time of late has been well documented. He was a beast of a horse as a novice chaser and hacked up in a Lexus before greed got the better of his owner at Cheltenham. On his best form I’ve no doubt he’s trounce these and it might be worth taking a chance on him at 4/1. From what Noel Meade has said he’s not quite back to his best at home but he wouldn’t have to be to win here imo. Roi Du Mee is the one to beat, been in good form all year and is 11/10 for anyone who fancies him.
ANNIE POWER
should win the Mares’ Grade 1 in Fairyhouse. It’s stupid that it’s a Grade 1 imo, but it is what it is. 8/13 looks decent value, as I rate the horse she beat last time out (Defy Logic) quite highly. I’d make her a 1/2 shot.
I think Davy Russell may have picked the wrong horse in the Grade B Novice Handicap Hurdle.
RYE MARTINI
has the potential to be better than his rating of 126 imo. He won a point from the decent Corbally Ghost before winning his maiden hurdle. he then disappointed in a hurdle race behind Rathlin before a better showing last time at Naas. I think he’s too big at 10/1, could be worth a small e/w interest.
In the Powers Gold Cup I fancy Gord’s old favorite
DEDIGOUT
I was very impressed with him when he beat Lyreen Legend and Colour Squadron at Punchestown last year and thought he could be a smart staying chaser. He ran well over course and distance behind Arvika Ligeonniere earlier this season, finishing 20 lengths clear of Texas Jack. This is a race that’s full of nearly horses in a way, with Mount Benbulben, Oscars Well and Mikael D’Haguenet talented on their day but never really fulfilling their undoubted early promise. It’s a very open race, in which any of the six are capable of winning, but Dedigout should be favorite for me. The distance was too short for him when Buckers Bridge beat him two runs back but when stepped back up to this trip he was an easy victor last time out. 7/2 is fair game.
There’s an e/w yankee now
March 30, 2013 at 18:25 #434458For some reason I completely forgot about a couple of races at Fiaryhouse! In the Grade 2 Novice Hurdle
DEFY LOGIC
is the one to be on imo. Bright New Dawn is an absolute picture and I can’t wait to see him jump a fence as I think he could be very very good over the larger obstacles. However, he has to give Defy Logic 5 lbs which may prove beyond him tomorrow. It’s by no means a two horse race however with good horse like Some Tikket and Anonis also involved, among others.
I also like
SAMMY BLACK
tomorrow in the handicap hurdle. He’s chased Shariyan home a couple of times now and tomorrow race looks a nice opportunity for him.

March 31, 2013 at 13:18 #434546I’ve backed
YOU MUST KNOW ME
for tomorrow’s Irish grand National. He’s a winner on deep ground over three miles already and is very unexposed over fences. The step up from 2.5 miles should be in his favour and there’s worse 25/1 shots.
Panther Claw
is respected.

March 31, 2013 at 13:50 #434551Missed the 100/1 on
NINETIETH MINUTE
, only myself to blame for that blunder. I’ve taken 66/1.
ANNIE POWER
confirmed the good impression she made when beating Defy Logic by winning the mares’ race today in fine style. I think she has the potential to be a Champion Hurdle mare.

March 31, 2013 at 21:48 #434629Another good card at Fairyhouse tomorrow, with
Tennis Cap
looking a likely winner of the novice hurdle. However, I think he’s plenty short at 5/4 and won’t get involved unless he drifts. His hard race at Cheltenham must be taken into account in what is a decent race.
The first horse on the card that I’m seriously interested in is
CONCORDIN
in the point to point bumper. He ran an eye catching race behind Golantilla two runs back and won easily when let loose last time out. He’s since been bought by John Magnier, and as such I’m surprised to see he’s as big as 12/1 (Boyles). It is a really hot race with many impressive point winners but I think Concordin could be very smart and at 12/1 I have to put my money where my mouth is.
In the National I’ve already backed
YOU MUST KNOW ME
at 25/1, and I’ll more than likely add
PANTHER CLAW
tomorrow. Both should relish the trip and have progressive profiles. It’s obviously a very open affair and is going to be a real test of stamina if the ground remains as holding as it was today.
I also like a horse in the concluding bumper,
GRAND GESTURE
. I thought he ran an eye-catching race last time out behind Outlander, when he stayed on very nicely despite not getting one slap of the whip. It’s a pity there’s not 8 runners as I’d have liked to back him each way, but I’ll probably invest win only nonetheless, at 5/1.
I like
TWIN JOY
in the 3.30 at Cork, his form behind Salsify and Tammys Hill reads well and if he’s an each way price I’ll have a small investment. In the 5.00 at Cork, if
MOSSEY JOE
is available at around even money I’ll be backing him. He looked back to his best last time out and the opposition looks weak here.
