Can’t resist having €2.50 e/w on Oiseau De Nuit @ 33/1.
November 12, 2011 at 14:44 #377527Loosen My Load, Oiseau De Nuit and Chicago Grey all very disappointing, but Great Endeavour saves the day @ 12/1.
+ €61.06
November 12, 2011 at 14:52 #377528Dorset Square is only 7lbs higher than when winning a handicap hurdle well at Punchestown last year. An extra 7lb wouldn’t have stopped him that day, and he should be race fit having been on the go on the flat recently.
€5 e/w Dorset Square @ 15/2
+ €51.06
November 12, 2011 at 15:31 #377536Well done Tommy on winning the ‘dark horse’ book on the competition today.

November 12, 2011 at 15:33 #377537It’s nice when things go right and horses come out the rights side of a photo finish. I’d say fitness won the day in the end from a horse coming back from a massive absence. Excellent run from Pettifour in the circumstance.

November 12, 2011 at 15:39 #377541It was never in doubt Nathan
November 13, 2011 at 13:02 #377645Voler La Vedette should be favorite today. Mikael D’haguenet’s price is based on what he can do at his best, rather than what he has done on his past few runs. Perhaps Mullins has got him back, and if that’s the case he will be thereabouts, but Voler rarely runs a poor race and has been one of the leading hurdlers in recent years.
€15 win Voler La Vedette @ 2/1 (Ladbrokes)
Dylan Ross has always threatened to be from the top drawer and hopefully he can confirm his promise with a win in the novice hurdle.
€20 win Dylan Ross @ 6/4 (Ladbrokes)
Can’t believe Big Zeb is odds against. I know he has to give weight to Noble Prince but I’d say Big Zeb will be too quick for Nolan’s horse, who probably wants further.
€20 win Big Zeb @ 11/10 (Ladbrokes)
€5 treble at those prices too.

Missed the 12/1 available a few days ago but the confidence behind this animal is sizable. This has the feeling of a gamble that will buy half of south Kilkenny new cars. This has been the plan since the Galway Hurdle and I’d say he’s still ahead of the handicapper. Hopefully the underrated Tom Doyle will be in the saddle and he should make them all go.
Greatwood Handicap Hurdle MOON DICE €10 e/w @ 8/1 (Ladbrokes)
Tom Doyle didn’t cover himself in glory there but we’ll never know if he would have won now. The winner was very impressive.
Returns €30

November 13, 2011 at 15:13 #377667Can’t resist backing Letter Of Credit @ 25/1 at Cheltenham. Fingal Bay will be very hard to beat, but Letter Of Credit has shaped as if a step up in trip will suit and I’d be hopeful he’ll get a place at least.
€5 e/w Letter Of Credit @ 25/1 (Ladbrokes 1-2-3, 1/4)
November 13, 2011 at 17:03 #377688Voler La Vedette and Big Zeb do the business yet again.

November 13, 2011 at 17:33 #377698Was mentioned elsewhere that Barry Geraghty could have been riding them if he hadn’t come over to ride A Media Luz. ouch.

Two nice wins thm, was with you on both of these, can’t believe people still backed micky d into favourtism, VLV is by far the more reliable and classier animal. What more can you say about Big Zeb!? Still the best 2m chaser out there imo. Noble Prince will though have his day later in the season possibly over futher and with more sutiable ground he’ll still be one to keep on side of.
November 17, 2011 at 12:37 #378236Spot on Pants. Big Zeb is the one they have to beat imo, and Forpady will hopefully go on from this run as well after his illness.
Oscars Well is surely overpriced for the Morgiana. Thousand Stars is the one to beat but having had the benefit of a run should sway things in Oscar’s favor. Thousand Stars is a very high class animal but he lacks the star quality that Oscars Well may have. Pittoni is an awful price imo, should be bigger than both Oscars Well and Thousand Stars I think.
€20 win Oscars Well @ 5/2 (Ladbrokes)
November 18, 2011 at 11:26 #378343Diamond Harry’s record at Haydock is exceptional, and the form of his win over Burton Port on tomorrows card two years ago is excellent. He goes well fresh and has always threatened to be top class.
Wherever Wierd Al finishes it must be likely that Time For Rupert will be close, as there wasn’t much between them the last day. Kauto Star has had an unbelievable career but has been poor first time out at Haydock in the past, and should have gone to Down Royal imo, where he would have had a better chance of picking up another Grade 1. Long Run is a horse I’ve yet to warm to and think the form of his Gold Cup win might not be great. There’s little doubting his potential however and he’s rightfully favorite.
Diamond Harry for me.
€10 e/w DIAMOND HARRY @ 6/1 (Ladbrokes 1-2, 1/4 odds, nrnb)
November 19, 2011 at 13:53 #378593Knockara Beau €5 e/w @ 25/1 (Lad 1-2-3-4 1/4)
Can’t believe his price to be honest. The trainer is not in great form but this horse ran a cracker at the Festival when finishing 4th off a 5lb higher mark.
November 19, 2011 at 14:29 #378599Heard great things about Midnight Game at Punchestown.
€30 win Midnight Game @ 5/6 (Lads)
