    Hey, welcome back Wakeman!!

Have not got through the golf this week but you have got me back into having a look. I enjoyed the banter before, let’s bash those bookies with some winners.

    Rory for me here too

Funny round today for the lad – 8 birdies, 6 pars and 4 bogeys – has been matched at 3.95 of BF already having been 4 under after 7!

    Struggling with his putter apparently

It certainly wasn’t his putter that let him down today, you don’t make eigth birdies by putting poorly.

His faults today was simply poor course management. The 11th and 12th holes were perfect examples. Tee shots in the middles of the fairway, just a mid iron into the green, and he went dead aim at both pins. Both pins were on the right side of the green meaning if you went slightly right you were effectively dead. Rory went right on both holes and left impossible up and downs (one from the rough, one from the bunker).

I’ve backed him pre-tournament also, but it was terribly infuriating watching him go for pin after pin today when the sensible play was the centre of the green. The lad should have been seven or eight under easily if he’d have just used a bit of nouse. He’s an incredible talent though and I fancy he’ll record a very low score tomorrow.

Really need Ross Fisher to hold on and win today, had £27 at 16/1 on Thursday in running with Bet365.

So you backed Fisher in-running at 16/1 on Thursday when he was (at best) three under and only think to mention it just before he sets off for his final round whilst in the lead?

I expect one of the chasers to catch him – either Wood (5/1) or Castano (11/1).

Yes I did back him. Why would I put it on here otherwise? What would be the point? I had an odd £27 in my account and I’ve backed Fisher lots, when I backed him he was -2 and about 4 off the pace.

Anyway, why am I needing to prove it to you

    Good luck everyone.

Definitely gonna look for someone else to back in this tournament now, can’t believe how backwards Tiger’s gone, as the commentator said last night "it’s sad to see Woods like this".

Matthew, I’ve been telling you for weeks not to back him.

You need to be honest with yourself mate. You wouldn’t back a horse that starts favourite every races yet keeps getting beat would you?

It’s the same with Tiger. Yes he’s better class at best, yes he had respectable finishes in a few tournaments this year, but the fact is he keeps starting favourite, is nowhere near in the form of old, and keeps getting beat.

As I’ve been saying for months (and weeks on here), Tiger is a layers dream.

Regarding the commentator’s comments, I don’t think it’s sad to see Tiger like this. Lots of players lose form without getting the attention and sympathy he is getting. And most of them never had x amounts of extra-marital affairs.

I’ll hold my hands up and admit he is one of the greatest golfers of all time, but I’ve never liked his attitude and personality and probably never will. If he never wins a tournament again I have absolutely no sympathy for the guy whatsoever.

All points taken on board mate but it’s sad for me’ as he’s a massive idol and there’s never been a Golfer like him, EVER.

Been backing Mahan blindly all year … except this week … DOH

Just so I can go and beat myself up in the corner a bit more, does anyone know what price he was prior to the event ? … around 50’s presumably ?

Unlucky BHL, it’s always the case mate.

He was 55 on BF so would have been between 40/1 and 50/1 with the bookies.
