Good evening fellow Golfing comrades.
Well after the start of the Race To Dubai last week a somewhat truncated programme for me this week, just the two tournaments to look at.
The men this week are catered for in the shape of The Barclay’s Singapore Open, sure to be Hot and Steamy so stamina is of the escence, rules me out then

Adam Scott is one player who certainly likes it in this neck of the Woods, so he merits the greatest respect but Pete will be pleased to know that i am about to pass him over.
I was drawn towards Ernie Els yesterday but having had today to think about it more he too will be passed over.
If he can get over the agony of his play-off defeat to Sergio at the HSBC last week then Oliver Wilson at the price certainly merits some interest, a lot taken on trust though.
Charl Schwartzel is my next choice, a recent winner in Spain he is also coming off a good Tournament last week without it has to be said looking the winner, but again at the odds an interest of sorts will be had by me.
My final choice here will be Rory Mcilroy who has shown signs recently that the all important first win may not be too far away, here’s hoping that this week could possibly be it.
So to the Ladies and the Lorena Ochoa Invitational, despite there only being 36 starters still a dickens of an event to sort out, plenty of room for us all to have received an invite i thought
.After much deliberation a couple of my usual suspects to begin with here those being Paula Creamer and Katherine Hull.
A couple further down the list complete my quartet for this and they are two that i have to admit i don’t think i have backed before, but a first time for everything.
Quaking in their boots at the thought of me looking over there shoulder are Jee-Young Lee and Helen Alfredsson.
All eyes i’m sure will be on Annika Sorenstam in what i belive to be one of her final encounter’s with Lorena and co in the field, in saying that i agree with a comment that Pete said to me yesterday in that she was fully entitled to win last time but recent performances against the main cast to me would count against her here, it would however be quite an emotional win should she pull it off, not saying she can’t but i just can’t have it.
Well the Best Of Luck to Pete, Crizzy, FanciedHorseLayer and anyone else who is dipping there toes this week.
Cheers for now.
Adrian.

The Asian tour takes centre stage with the Singapore Open. Phil Mickelson is favourite and his poor performance here last year can be ignored as he was suffering from a virus. He has every chance and previous results suggest that the long hitters have an advantage at this event as Els, Cabrera, VJ Singh and my main selection Adam Scott have all played very well here in the last few years.
I have not bet on Adam Scott for a while as he has been out of form but played some good golf last week in China when finishing 6th. He has won this event twice before and often plays his best golf at courses where he has previously done well and the BF odds of 11/1 that I obtained look reasonable value considering his excellent record in this tournament.
I could not resist the 14/1 offered on BF about this year’s double major winner Padraig Harrington who played quite well in China and I also expect Rory McIlroy to like the course in Singapore and my money is on him to win. My e/way selection is Prom Meesawat at 150/1.On the lpga tour, it’s the inaugural Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico with 36 players competing. Lorena is very familiar with the course and may be difficult to beat ( her name is already on the trophy
) but her odds of 5/2 are too short for my liking. My main selection is Paula Creamer who has won four times this year and this course could suit her style of play. I also like the chances of In Kyung Kim at 40/1 and Jeong Jang who played her best golf for a while when third in S/Korea recently.Happy punting

Pete
