    Good evening fellow Tiltleist lovers.

Well after the events of last week when it has to be said the last few tournaments had appeared to have caught up with him Robert Karlsson was able to be declared Order Of Merit winner for 2008 much to my delight it has to be said.

So before we know it we start all over again with the beginning of the 09 season, more on that later.

I will begin this week with the Ladies and the Mizuno Classic and my task would at first sight appear to be easier with the abscence of Paula Creamer and Katherine Hull, not a bit of it still extremely tricky.

From an original list of Four i have now decided on these Three.

My main selection this week will be Karrie Webb a recent winner of this event, so here’s hoping that a return to previous glories can result in an upturn in fortunes.

I am going to go again with Na Yeon Choi, just feel that a win is around the corner here.

Last but by no means least Ai Miyazato will complete my trio here.

Ok to the Men’s and the Wal – Mart Children’s Miracle Network Classic .

This like the Mizuno was not to easy to sift through, i had a starting list of Six but i have done a spot of pruning and have narrowed it down to Three, here’s hoping i have got it right.

A couple at decent odds to begin with here, first to be burdened with me on his shoulders, in saying that should be no problem is Boo Weekley, Hopefully he can fly of into the Florida Sunset on Sunday evening.

Next having again shown last week that he is on the way back Vaughn Taylor is given another chance to show that is the case.

Finally and an all out win here, in the hope that missiles are peforming to there potential it is with hope that Stewart will Cink the opposition come Sunday evening.

So to this weeks main dish, and what an absolute belter it is, 10 out of 10 for the invention firstly of the Race To Dubai, a 57 Tournament competition culminating in a four day shoot out at the Jumeirah Golf Estates for the Dubai Championship on November 19th to 22nd 2009.

The first Tounament on this long and winding road is the HSBC Champions, played at the Sheshan International GC, in Shanghai, here’ hoping i hit the right note come Sunday evening.

So where do we begin, i will start with last years winner Phil Mickelson who is hopefully up for it again this week, plenty of drama unfolded last year before he eventually fell over the line.

I cannot pass Anthony Kim over neither as depending on how many he opts to play in, the same can be said of everyone else of course but i just feel that this could be right up his street.

Speaking of right up his street my Third choice here is a player i feel could have a major say in the outcome of this competition and have had a dabble in the outright market already, he had a good week last week before just coming up short, he will be my European player to follow in the 09 season and here’s to a bold showing from Martin Kaymer.

I was originally not going to have a fourth choice but having seen the odds i felt an interest in Henrik Stenson might well bear fruition, granted he has to put for him a dissapointing 08 season behind him, he more than anyone else will hope to make it to Dubai next November particularly as he lives there.

Well that will do it for me for now, so to everyone partaking as always the Best Of Luck.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

Good luck to Adrian, Crizzy, FanciedHorseLayer and anybody else betting on the golf this first week in November which is the start of the 2009 European tour :? and the first event on the tour takes place in China :?

There is a very good field for the HSBC Champions which takes place in Shanghai where my friend lives along with about 20 million other people. This is not an easy one to find the winner of. Phil Mickelson won this event last year but does not often win outside his native country whilst Sergio Garcia has played well recently at courses in Spain he is very familiar with and may not do so well here. I was going to bet on Ross Fisher who nearly won here last year but I decided not to as the opposition looks stronger than it was in 2007 and his odds look poor value.
One golfer who does like playing in this part of the world is Paul Casey who has previously won two other tournaments in China. He played reasonably well for a while last week and has never finished outside the top 10 at this event but probably will this year as I am backing him to win. Anthony Kim and Robert Karlsson have never won when I have backed them but they have often given me a good run for my money which seems like a decent enough reason to bet on them this week. I’m also betting again on Martin Kaymer who nearly won last week but finished joint runner up.

The uspga fall series finishes this week in florida with the Children’s Miracle Network Classic.
George McNeill often plays well at this time of year and has recently shown some good form including a joint runner up finish last week. He is my main selection. I don’t have any strong opinions about anybody else so I will just have a few quid on four other players at odds of 50/1+
They are Jeff Overton, Troy Matteson ( who also played well last week ), Tim Petrovic and Nick Watney who has shown a liking for this course in the past.

The lpga event this week takes place in Japan and it’s the Mizuno Classic. I think that the 10/1 on offer about the British open winner Ji Yai Shin is reasonable value as the opposition is not as strong as usual so I have bet on her to win in Japan where she reportedly enjoys playing. I am betting on Shanshan Feng again and I will join Adrian in following Na Yeon Choi over a cliff and hope that the tide is in :) My other choice is In Kyung Kim who I expect to win more lpga events during the next few years ( starting this week with any luck :) ).

    Happy punting :)

    Pete

    Good Luck Guys

Dont often get involved on the European Tour [Much prefer the PGA Tour]

But in the HSBC,will have small match bets with Ladbrokes on

Karlsson against Fisher @ 10-11 WON
    Villegas against Kaymer @ 10-11
    Choi against Scott @ 10-11

Just the one success, and for the new season will only get involved on "Value" outsider match bets for this tour

Holmes WON for a £10.5 Profit

Went to the 72nd hole though!

Which reminds me, though the weekend is supposed to be the time when people relax..for us Golf punters the stress levels just crank up further until they reach a frenzied peak on Sunday
