Half a stone better, your joking, they are at least a stone better, Christoph Pieux is an “as been“ im afraid, i saw him recently in Cagnes fall in three races on the same day, he pulls up more horses than he should and he`s not the same jockey that he was 6 years ago
For all the negatives of Pieux (I’m not his biggest fan but he’s better than most British jockeys) he’s been champion lord knows how many times so even his critics must admit he’s top class in the right conditions.

Yep, all the judges are out in force giving Pieux a kicking while lauding Walsh. .
For the purposes of balance, I do agree that this post-Festival worshipping of Ruby Walsh has been way over the top. Yes, he is
one of
the best NH jockeys riding, but how many of his Festival winners wouldn’t have won if they had been ridden by an average jock? I’m struggling to think of one winner where he really made "the difference" (a la McCoy on Wichita Lineman…)
