I maybe wrong (normally am) but I read it as British women having two children or more would pay less tax,nothing about taxing people more

Every day goes by and we get more nonsense from Reform. The latest utter baylocks was on the radio yesterday in which it was said ‘we have 9 million immigrants on benefits and as a country we cannot afford it.” They said the UK population had increased by 12 million since 2012 which is also completed false.
The reality is that legal immigrants (those with a visa) are not allowed to claim benefits. If they tried to claim their visa would not be renewed. Besides there are not 9 million immigrants in this country. Reform just make numbers up to frighten people
If you look at the official figures you will find the largest category on benefits (13 million of us) are people like me. Unbelievably, people claiming a state pension are classed as being on benefits, despite paying in for 50 years to get it!
The problem is voters believe the lies when they are put out daily.
As for taxing couples who don’t have children early it just shows if you vote Reform you will be voting for a police state. But then many voting for Trump are either out of a job or bankrupt

Totally agree domestic abuse should be reported and the perp given a long sentence and a public birching
But to flip it as you have let’s not use this as a smokescreen for the thousands and thousands of white girls drugged raped beaten because they are perceived as ‘easy’ .
Hope Rupert Lowe inquiry gets all involved and all councillors and police officers who covered it up and there will be many white officials who need to pay for their silence with long long sentences,
How can Lowe get an inquiry off the ground but the govt still dragging their heels? that’s aimed at both labour and toryWho’s using it as a “smokescreen”? As you correctly point out, those guilty of covering up the grooming gangs should be punished, as should the perpetrators themselves: that is not a “smokescreen”.
However, domestic abuse is not reported in the same way as the rightwing media is trying to portray immigrants as the source of all the country’s woes, which is total nonsense.

Tbh I think domestic abuse is reported and rightly so,but you see if differently , I can’t see how you see it as a supposedly right wing problem,same as grooming gang problem was never in print till they had no option,thanks to likes of Charlie Peters

Of course, like many others on this forum, I condemn the abuse of women. We now know if Reform are elected that women will be deemed inferior and their abuse will get worse. Reform have promised to repeal the Equalities Act which ensures that legally women must be treated as equals and receive the same pay as men if doing the same job. Reform will take us back one hundred years and all the rights women have correctly gained will be lost.
