The much-missed Shergar Cup guru Captain Robbo has been in touch with Chezza over login issues, evidently confusing Chezza with the owner of TRF.
A massive case of mistaken identity if ever there was one.
Not to worry.
“The Good Captain” wishes to inform the TRF massive that Stattler WILL win the Cheltenham Gold Cup this afternoon.
Chezza reckons it’s about as likely as Chezza being invited to become a moderator of this great website, but Chezza passes on the tip anyway.

Most tread carefully enough and keep their heads – the odd outburst is possibly inevitable.The Captain was a very good read and one of a rare bunch who go off script. I wish him well, and would hope he makes a return, and so chooses to meander back into baa baa land.
He was never one you could accuse of sitting on the fence. It perhaps led him to throw good money after bad at times but I think you have to have some respect for anyone prepared to put their opinions out there like that.

I don’t care if people get it wrong – EVERYONE gets it wrong sometimes if they’re actually honest – and I don’t care if people disagree (even with me, especially with me, in fact, I need a bunch of “yes men” around me like I need a hole in the head).
It’s a game of opinions and differing opinions make both the betting market and internet forum.
The Shergar Cup was hitherto the most boring day’s racing of the year – including the one time I attended (the 80s gig after was the highlight of the whole day) – and Captain Robbo absolutely brought it to life in 2021.
