There has been a noticeable absence of certain no-hopers during this National Hunt season.
Have the Wilson family finally lost interest in trundling horses around the back in Grade 1s? Cerium, Mr Pointment and co aren’t even in the entries for the Grand National. Indeed, the owners have no entries on the RP database.
Also, has Dr Philip Pritchard stopped training? He hasn’t had a runner since the 2008-09 season.
April 4, 2011 at 06:42 #348548Dr Phil has long since stopped training.
Pretty sure he’s still involved in looking after the jockeys on the medical side of things.Milan Deux Mille had a run for the Wilsons a couple of months ago, about the only runner I can recall for them in recent times.
June 2, 2011 at 13:20 #358399Mr Pointment followed another former Wilson alumnus, Arteea, to the yard of owner-rider Phillip Andrew for a Point-to-Pointing campaign in 2011. He didn’t stand much racing, and went with much less vim under Mr Andrew than other riders. No idea of Cerium’s current whereabouts, though.
