New forum is weird

I managed to upload an avatar. If I can do it, anyone can.

I'd like to live in a place where they cordon off swans...

One you are logged in you can scroll down to your name at the bottom of the page. Click on your name and then select edit. This will take you to where you can change your email address etc. If you scroll down there is an option there for downloading an avatar from your computer.

Heh heh heh sorted !!

For some reason the Rating makes a difference. I must have clicked on a rating that stopped the avatar being shown, not sure how or why I did that, but all sorted now.

Trendyrich, My instructions are always foolproof. I’m the fool and the fact that I managed to upload an avatar is the proof.

Ricky, If you follow the instructions above and scroll down to avatar you should get the option to browse your computer for the image you wish to use as an avatar. Once you have selected it, it should be named to the right side of the choose file, or browse box. Rather than click upload avatar, which I first did as it seemed the intuitive thing to do, scroll right down and click on the update profile button at the far right side. You should then have your avatar displayed.

Hope that works.
